Not bad!

But unfortunately Iím selling all my figures. I need to prioritize, and the Lightning Collection has definitely taken over... and I kind of refuse to give Bandai any more money. I kept Mystic Gohan and Iíll probably snag SS4 Goku... but Iím done.
I'm definitely not planning to get them all (or any more for that matter) and Hasbro's Lightning Collection is looking a lot better. I think I've been spoiled by all the import figures so I'm not a huge fan of how stiff the joints are and the figure just doesn't feel as fun to mess with.

I'm interested in picking up Zamasu, as I'm rather impatient for Figuarts. How is he as a figure?

I've seen some reviews start to pop up on YouTube for Series 9 and 10 of the Dragon Stars line and for these two series (and I'm guessing subsequent releases), Bandai has gone away from the Build-A-Figures. I'm 50/50 with this decision as it means you can skip figures you don't really want, but I fear that this will cause certain figures to peg warm, so I'm hoping this new direction doesn't kill the line. I'm also a little disappointed that there are no additional accessories. I must say though that Bandai killed it with their Piccolo and First Form Frieza sculpts!
I do think we will get more BAF given that leaked photo showed one for modern Broly. I think this current series may just be a buffer.

i can appreciate that at least. for the most part this wave is entirely made up of high demand characters. there is a ton of new tooling for this wave. granted its not like we wont see this figures repainted but when that time comes there better be a baf.

it would just be nice to have bandai tell us thier plans then hope that gamestop or ee puts up pre orders before release.

Yeah, I was surprised to see nothing from Bandai at Toy Fair this year.

Here also are the photos posted earlier in the thread. What's interesting is that there are only 5 figures yet that haven't been seen on the streets, (18, Gotenks, Buu, Teen Gohan, and 2019 Broly). So either they're releasing an uneven amount of figures or there's some more that haven't been revealed.

Broly too... might be a figure on his own.

So I got SS4 Goku today. Passed on Piccolo and Frieza. They looked great though!

With Mystic Gohan and this one, I'm done. Unless they do SS4 Vegeta and Gogeta, then I'll get those... the SS4 forms are, in my opinion, the best Super Saiyan forms hands down... until Figuarts get there at some point, I'll be happy to finally have a decent SS4.

I'm perpetually impressed at how good the Dragon Stars actually look in person compared to the promo photos. Looks great!

But yeah I can see Broly being his own fig in a similar mold to Jiren, which I'm down with. Still, seems like there's one missing. Maybe Gogeta?

That thigh gap... Jesus Christ. Iím constantly amazed at how Bandai can keep having issues with each wave. And the joints are still a little loose. Nothing too bad, but it still solidifies my issues with the figures.

But I do love the sculpt. Better than the Figure-Rise because of the hair. Itís actually articulated. The shoulder pieces that go around to the back move independently of the rest... which allows more head movements... which is really nice.

Yeah. The cool thing with GS, and Iím sure you know, is you can put in your zip and see how close they are to you. I saw Goku arrived in Neosho, (about 20 minutes from Joplin), so I ran on my lunch hour to my local one and asked Anthony. He said that he hadnít opened the box yet.

When he did it had one of each.

nice! i use the app for things like that. if they say its available i head over as soon as possible. sometimes they say its a pre order but im sure gs has fixed that issue so "sold" figures dont reflect the count.

Also nabbed the SSJ4 Goku figure. I'm amazed at the quality of it. Sculpting is great, paint is good and it just feels nice to hold. I'm bummed you're not collecting these anymore Taichi because imo the line only continues to improve.

Well... Iím not ďendingĒ the line completely... just being picky and choosy with the ones I get. The Lightning Collection is everything Iíve ever wanted, so Iíve put Transformers and DBS on hold.

But glad you like him! Heís definitely one of the absolute best sculpts! Does yours have the thigh gap like mine?
