I'm just confused as to how they jumped so high on their bikes from almost a stand-still. I mean, yeah, the sign says that the bikes are super-powered but it was still weird. Now, the bikes are just bicycles, yes? So what's the deal with the "green energy"/"superpowered" thing on the sign? Just what is going on with these things?

Also in regards to theft, I could argue that a public bike rack in a city devoting itself to clean energy is a public service. One of those rent-a-bike dealies.

I was going to say, they're probably like those e-Cycle things, but they run on Morph-X instead. Blaze, meanwhile, wants/needs Morph-X, so he's going to steal said bike for his own purposes, probably to turn it into a monster of the day with a key, like the last one. Bingo-bang-o, there's your plot. Not only that, but Roxy's running around doing some stuff, too. She probably has the monster key, and Blaze's job is to bring her the bike.

It's actually a decent enough villain plot, and there's no sign of treachery involved. I like it!

I mean, I know all of this originality is going to be paid for with Sentai-driven episodes later on down the line, but I'm enjoying it now.

I was hesitant to assume the bikes ran on Morph-X, but that's a perfectly reasonable deduction to make. Sounds like a pretty decent plot.

It's a bike episode! Oh lord, it's a bike episode. Good thing Devon doesn't have a sentient motorcycle buddy, or anything. I guess PRBM is actually a reference to BMX?

What if Cruise wasn't there? He can't just make him appear.
Nate teleports their weapons directly to them in the heat of live combat.

So, yes. GB can make the weapon just appear like that. "But it only works on the weapons!" Except that's how they removed Blaze and Roxy's evil avatars (and a large piece of the floor) from the base in the very first episode. So ... ?

And are we just ignoring the fact they stole 3 bikes?
They're using them to stop a super villain from taking over the city's power supply.

I don't think anyone will have a problem with them borrowing some bikes.

But the giant teleporters didn't seem as easy to use. By the time they got all of them set up and programmed it to Devon's exact location, Blaze might've gotten away. (But yeah, Devon could've just used his speed to run after him)

Also, the giant ones left a bigass hole in the floor, and I'm sure nobody wants to fix that again.

As opposed to letting a supervillain run amok in the city, and probably cause even bigger holes in the ground?

The reason GB didn't teleport the weapon straight to the Rangers was because the show wanted an extended chase sequence with the Rangers on bikes. That's really it. Pointing that out is nobody's fault.

The rangers jumped on the bikes right away. It was faster to just let them do that instead of taking the time to set up the giant teleporters and get Cruise there.

As long as the rangers were after him, he wasn't going to stop and start destroying stuff.

Well yeah, if you want to use the logical answer..

Missing the forest for the trees...

Oh allow me to point out every idiosyncrasy in Power Rangers...

Like having it pointed out that "Oh it'd be faster if they just used the motorcycle." helps nobody and doesn't actually take away anything from the scene... it's like just reading posts from Cinema Sins.

What, the logic tree? Gosh, we burned that fucker to ashes years ago. There's no reason for the BMX chase, there's no reason Devon forgot he now owns a sentient motorcycle that GB can instantly teleport to his location -- like every other weapon they have so the Rangers can use them -- the show just wanted a bike chase sequence.

Uh, for the last 25 years pulling weapons and bikes out of their asses was never a problem before.

They even demonstrated how they transfer weapons in the last two eps....

Small weapons like a sword and a gun. Not a motorcycle.

Again, setting up the big teleporters takes time, and Blaze could've gotten away in that time if they just sat there and waited. Just grabbing the bikes and going after him isn't a crazy idea.

All they would have had to do is have Devon contact Nate at GB headquarters and say, "Have Cruise ready," and they could have teleported him, or Cruise and the other beast bots could have been following them there.

The bike scene as is in that clip is extremely corny, even by PR standards.

They can't even excuse the corniness by PR's standard baseline of, "We've got toys to sell."

Unless Hasbro has a secret deal with BMX ... hmm. Maybe they do?

It's corny, sure but I don't see how it's much worse than stuff PR has done in the past.

I'm just grateful it's not a gas filled spiderweb.

Seriously. If it was Neo-Saban people would have been knocking things over and falling into goo.

That was the most Masked Riding we've had in a while. It's the right kind of corny.

I do like that they're keeping with the "green energy" theme though. It's important for kids to learn about fossil fuel alternatives in general, even in a vague technobabble way via "Morph-X".

Episode 3 clip.

I can see how people can say this is illogical and Devon should've used his super speed or Cruise but I'm gonna chalk this up as a heat of the moment deal where a bad guy is getting away and they grab what was near by. Plus we don't have enough info of what preceded before like their suits malfunctioning , something not ready to send out or Ben and Betty accidentally messed up something in the lab and needed to be fixed.
