Yeah. Two years. The original version of this came out in 2002 as part of the Robots in Disguise line. This is just a more show-accurate redeco… which I suppose could be what you mean (in which case, sorry for telling you something you already know), but the original release was hardly as inaccurate as the original Deluxe figure.
Didn't see that one. I just remember the one we got at launch, which was terrible.

Yeah, sadly the show designers were given early toy concepts, so the final toys and show designs diverged quite heavily. It's why the later toys tended to be more show accurate - like the Tank Drone compared to the original Tankor.

Optimus Primal got a Deluxe figure early on, a more accurate but still not perfect Mega in 2001, and then the belated Supreme "Air Attack" figure that wound up as part of Robots in Disguise's line as the tail end of Beast Machines got cancelled alongside TransTech and he was one of the few finalised figures.

Robot and beast mode comparisons between all three - they don't display as in-post images as they links won't switch to https.

This new Encore release is pretty much just tweaking the colour scheme to make him as show-accurate as possible. It'll also be replacing the Garry Chalk voice clips from the original toy with the Japanese dub voice.

Beast Machines earlier line was such a disappoint having come off of Beast Wars. The season three figures of Beast Wars are still some of my favorite toys.

Yeah it's just a repaint and new sound box. That's why it's an "Encore"

Let's hope it doesn't have the reported issues that the last two Encore releases had. Fire Convoy and God Magnus(?) from Car Robots apparently had one another's sound effects, as well various anecdotal quality issues.

He does indeed! The colours are spectacular.

Some more MP Convoy images... firstly, a little digibash by TFW's Seth Sunthay:

A nice clear look at an image I'd skipped in my previous post:

And edited for a straight-on angle:

TFW's Sam did a comparison between MP Optimus/Convoy truck modes:

He's looking better with each (clearer) image. Can't say for certain but he may well take over from MP-10 and stand with MPM-4 in my displays sometime next year.

So the IDW reboot might happen because of two things.

A:
Unicron

or

B:
Springer doing time travel shenanigans. Read Requiem of the Wreckers.

Everyone thinks of his as the voice of Starscream, but he also voiced four other G1 characters; Reflector, Sparkplug, Wheeljack and Defensor.(And Old Snake, but we all know who that really was.) Not to mention characters on GI Joe, Inhumanoids and Visionaries. The only major Sunbow shows he wasnt a part of are Jem and My Little Pony.

He was also one of the original voices of Mr. Burns on The Simpsons

Yes, only voicing him three times. And back to GI Joe, he was one of only two actors to reprise their Sunbow role on the Dic series. The other being Sgt Slaughter.

The bot that came in from the blue... here's Studio Series Ironhide!

Odd that he's #14... the first two waves ordered their figures from Deluxe, through Voyager, to Leader. Ironhide's jumping ahead of the rest of wave 3 here... number-wise as well as release-wise. Nice score, Singaporeans!

So Lost Light Issue 18
and the secret to Cyberutopia is a inadvertently deadly trap.
Turns out an order of the Knights of Cybertron unwittingly condemned all those who followed them to a most pleasant death. Cyberutopia is actually a euthanasia clinic that uses telepathy to allow those that visit to see their loved ones or ideal after life while they are being killed. The Knights of Cybertron stumbled upon the facility while suffering from an illness caused by contact with organic creatures. Scared, sick and desperately homesick, they were also explorers looking to discover new worlds. The result: the discovery of Cybertron in a utopian state. It was so good that before they died they sent the matrix to act as a map and lead others there, not realising they were in effect leading them to their doom

So the fear that TFA Cybertronians had for organics was justified? Huh.

Also, Cyberutopia was a Futurama Suicide Booth? Double huh.

Yup, ironically and coincidentally, his death occurred on the same date as Nicole Brown Simpson, but it's quite obvious who's death overshadowed who's, he was only 44 when he passed away, way too young.

But some of his voice acting colleagues have said that he had his demons or he had Darkness, implying that he lived kind of a wild lifestyle and didn't really take care of himself, which I believe contributed to his early death.

Yeah, I've heard differing accounts on what it was he died from. And supposedly, some guys asked about that on a dvd commentary of something.

It's kinda similar on G.I. Joe with him doing multiple characters there, but when folks think of him, first thought is Cobra Commander. Same with Mr. Bell and Mr. Ross voicing many good guys and bad guys, folks first thinking of Duke and Shipwreck.

Cerebral hemorrhage is what's commonly listed as the cause of his death, which is a shock because normally that happens in elderly people and he was only 44 when he passed away. He also did stand-up comedy as well and many people like that come from a dark background so it's possible it could have been drug-related.

Given the Getaway's crew showed up at the end as sparkeater, my question is will we see the flashbaqck where Getaway gets his ultimate wish and achieves Primehood?
