Neca is doing an accessory pack for pennywise (not weapons) but it's in the same spirit I think.

When we getting a replica of bandoras palace as a project though is the question.

I'd be all for this if you could push a button and it would play Bandora's theme. In its entirety.

I always see this mention of weapon packs.

Has any toyline actually released supplementary/spare accessory packs (outside of girls doll lines) since the 80's? I keep seeing this reference to a thing which has never really been a thing.
Both JoyRide, AND McFarlane released weapon packs for their Halo lines of figures.

I'm glad the main line is the same scale as the Lightning Collection, but I do hope they make Lightning Collection figures of all the Beast Bots, Blaze and Roxy.

Mostly because I want a Marvel Legends-scale Beet J. Stag with a proper decent paint job.

that is a very good question. hopefully before sdcc, since they would probably already start trickling out by then.

If Wave 1 is April.

SDCC is what, June? July?

I doubt we'll see Wave 2 prior to July/August.

Well i was referring to them being revealed. Its normal for promo pics to surface several months before the figures release, but i just realized how far later in the year wave 2 is expected to release, so sdcc might be perfect.

Well if we assume it's quarterly, we'll see em on shelves (hopefully) in July.

Wave 2 was already shown off at Nuremberg Toy Fair, just no photos allowed. Hasbro also works much further ahead than Bandai did. Itís very possible.

Are they quarterly? I thought I'd heard they were aiming for twice a year initially. Goldar (Gamestop exclusive, but technically part of wave 2) is listed for a late October release.

If they are doing these as only waves of four figures, then it should be quarterly.
12 figures a year for a "new" line seems about right.

hopefully the next 2 waves perform as well as the first seems to have and they ramp up the speed these come out. not marvel fast, but more than 12 a year, excluding exclusives.

Once they make one Male/Female mold,,barring 6ths, it should be easier to release full teams. By then, they can focus on more unique villain molds.

Hasbro at PMC said it was an anthology line and the first wave would give us an idea of what to expect.

It's not about releasing 5 figures with a pallet swap. We have reason to expect uniquely-shaped characters with each wave, and that's a breath of fresh air for PR.

Can I ask, respectfully, why folks are intent on teams so soon? We've had years of team-centric releases. I recall when Tamashii Nations polled fans on Figuarts - there are too many options, it splits demand too thin, and that leads to safe bets (MMPR).

Still..money. Once there are enough figures in circulations, figure packs could be viable, even if for convention or store exclusives. Same M.O. Marvel Legends have run once they got that ball rolling.

I don't care for completion, but it probably exists because..collectors.. but also we're use to being shortpacked on teams, teams that come with more simplistic details to replicate, as opposed to Kamen Rider which still got a lot released in spite of design.

As for me wanting full teams, why would you want just the blue ranger or just the pink ranger? I mean 6ths and reds are one thing but its not about 1 ranger.

Frankly, I don't understand the Red thing. I mean I get it, but it's visually boring and the show markets them enough.

I picked up Legacy figures for Cassie and Tori because I like those characters. During RPM, I only went for Ziggy (until the twins), because the character makes me smile.

Ironically, the only Legacy figures I wanted as a set were the Psychos, and they were anything but a "team".

If Hasbro sold all 6 Wild Force Rangers tomorrow, I'd only buy Taylor, and pass on the rest. By dangling a partial carrot, they can sucker me in for a Cole and a Merrick and a Danny & Max Never Give Up 2-Pack before I ever get Taylor.

The team element of PR is a marketing gimmick more than a thematic element. The show doesn't make me like all five people equally.

12 might "seem right," but I know Hasbro mentioned a specific number of figures per year. I'll have to see if I can dig that quote up.

I don't get it either, but apparently there are a large number of fans (or at least large and vocal enough to be noticed) who are only interested in complete teams. I mean, sure, getting every Ranger ever would be ideal, but I personally don't get the logic of turning up one's nose at a really nice Shadow Ranger figure because you can't get SPD Yellow at the same time (or even a guarantee that there will be an SPD Yellow released later on). A cool figure is a cool figure. Besides, there have been enough anniversary episodes and whatnot that have featured a random grab bag of past Rangers that it doesn't break my brain to see a bunch of Rangers from different teams all standing on my shelf together.
