Honestly I'd LOVE to see SA 1&2 remade in the vein of Crash Bandicoot N Sane Trilogy. That plus the new voice cast re doing the lines yeah this is something I'd buy easily.

Or who's knows, in the vein of Super Mario Odyssey.

Haven't SA1 and 2 been remade twice already? The first time was when SA2 Battle was released on Gamecube and then SA1 DX on GC and PC. The second time was a HD version of both games, on Steam.

Then it's not a remake, it's a new game.

Those aren't remakes, they were the same games with some graphical enhancements.

Those are called ports, not remakes.

Sonic Adventure 1 & 2 could be remade as they were, with the exact same gameplay and story but with improved graphics and sound, and the fans would say that it's not Sonic enough and they miss whatever the last Sonic game was.

Honestly though, the Adventure games, especially 2, aren't particularly great games. I think people have a tendency to remember them very differently. Or just the Chao Garden.

Man, catching up with Sonic Boom and turns out I missed more episodes from season 2 than I've thought.

Anyway, love the 4-parter "Panic in the Sky". Have it end up being focused on Tails made my day.

Man, this series really knows how to please me. It's almost like it's making up for the weak sonic cartoons/anime we've gotten.

You know, there is this silly notion that Sonic fans hate everything no matter what SEGA does, and therefore that is (part of) why the Sonic fan base sucks. While I admit that perhaps this could be said for a segment of people, I cannot help but say... isn't SEGA the ones at fault for being so inconsistent?

Just look at the mainline Sonic games since after S3&K came out, the only real consistency is a changing of gimmicks, themes, and bad mechanics. Then they finally seemingly figure out a game style and evolve it from Unleashed, into Colors... then into Generations. Then what happened? We got Sonic Lost World, then Sonic Boom.

Fans have a right to be annoyed with SEGA, as they seemingly cannot decide what to do internally with the franchise. It's only now, with Mania and Forces that we have a set of games that (hopefully) will be pretty epic. Even then, Forces has not yet really shown us that its much more than a Sonic Generations 2.

While I love SEGA, there is much to be desired in the handling of the Sonic series as a whole. At least, they finally let people make a game that actually remember how to make an authentic 2D Sonic game.

The Sonic Fanbase can't be wrost as the Star Wars Fanbase or heck even the Dragon Ball Fanbase.

I wonder if Mania or Forces will get DLC I think Forces will get some but Mania ?

SEGA certainly has an equal amount to blame in this whole debacle, but what makes me raise an eyebrow is how some parts of the fanbase vehemently deny that they didn't do anything wrong. This is quite telling when we have actual evidence that parts of the fanbase pretty much hate everything that they make regardless of how much SEGA tries to appease them in one way or another.

I will give the Sonic fanbase this though, at least as far as I can observe. Unlike certain fanbases of the likes of Star Wars, Star Trek, Doctor Who, or DBZ, you don't see anything talking about how "SJW's and political correctness are ruining everything". But that could just be because the worst of the Sonic fanbase is too busy complaining about everything else.

Which is a good thing, and part of the problem with the fanbase and their dismissal of it. After the idiotic decision to move from the well-received "boost" gameplay after Generations, going back to it is more than welcome.

What was Sonic 2 if not Sonic 1 with a couple more bells and whistles? Was was Sonic 3 after that? What was Mario Galaxy 2? Sonic Forces has taken what was great about the last few good Sonic games, but added some new stuff on top of it (namely the custom character and the new gameplay features that will bring, but their could well be tweaks to the modern gameplay). But no, we see people complaining that they're "just remaking Sonic Generations". And yet fawning over Sonic Mania and it "remaking" the Mega Drive games.

I'm optimistic about Sonic Forces, although Mania has me more hyped, Forces will most likely be a fun game, which is the most important thing in the long run, it'll be a success in my eyes if it entertains me in the time it takes me to finish it and there are levels that I like to go back and replay.

I enjoyed Unleased, I loved Colours, I enjoyed Generations and Lost World, I fully expect I'll enjoy this one as well.

I think the Infinite reveal might have inadvertently previewed different areas, but so far yes, they've been focusing level reveals on Mania. Which makes sense, since that's releasing first.

Finally catch up with Sonic Boom Season 2 episodes. Man, this show is such a good ride. And this season the jokes are even better because several times I was laughing with it.

Pokémon Sun & Moon writers should take some lessons from Boom stuff so they can learn how to do a legimately funny humor.
