E3 PC Conference going on at the moment. Mostly expect hardware talk.

Also if you missed it, and want to see the "anti-E3 conference" that goes all out to be weird for showing off upcoming games from the largest of proponent of independent games, watch the Devolver Digital "press conference". It's weird, but the games are fun at least.

Also Ni no Kuni II will hit PS4 and PC (Steam) on the 10th of November 2017 for at least North America.

I was trapped in a game cube and been working my way back to RangerBoard, all this time.

Either that or busy, new job that keeps me from posting as much as I would like since I'm not always near a PC any more. I'm not good at typing my usual long posts on mobile you see.

DBZ Fighter demo vids are showing up, and it just looks glorious.

I'm hearing though that, since it's Guilty Gear based, it might actually be hard to play? I've never played any of the GG or Arc Systems games, but I'm hearing that Guilty Gear isn't something the average fighting game player can just pick up and play right away, they need actual skills?

I take it you didn't play Syndicate or maybe forget that it had a leveling system as well with a skill tree?

Being an AC fan and replaying the franchise as we speak, I'm pretty excited for this, though the giant snake was a big wtf to me as well......I know they can get away with a little bit of mystical stuff here and there but I think they're pushing it.
Didn't play it. Although my point still stands about them bringing in more gameplay systems from Ubisoft's other games in a gross quest to make all of their games uniform and same-y.

It's not so much that the average player can't pick up and play right away a Guilty Gear or other Arc Systems fighters, it's that they offer you a lot of different things and techniques and moves and styles that it can be overwhelming or confusing. To be honest they need more tutorials in games.

However I don't believe that makes it inaccessible, just about everything you will ever want to do you can just pick up and learn in those games from experience. Start with just trying to do some of the basics, then some of the special moves, then get into the more advance stuff you can do.
For this title though, they know Dragon Ball will bring in some who aren't traditionally fighting game fans as well, plus the usual standards (flying, ki blasts, transforming), so they most likely won't be putting in the really high end stuff like counter-cancel-explosion-dash-counter moves.

Damn. Was kinda hoping to get an announcement for some sort of Skyrim sequel. Or at least a new expansion.

No new Elderscrolls anmouncement until 2019 at the earliest I think.

Though I do agree that Skyrim needed at least a few more smaller and one giant expansion. Skyrim was a great game, but the dungeons really were lacking.

Similar to BotW's failing where enemy variety is sorely lacking in the game.

Isn't that what they showed? I have no idea about Skyrim, but it sure looked like that to me!

No.

That was for the port of the game to the Switch as well as announcing that version of the game having Amiibo support and able to get Link's gear from BotW.

Not...really?

Having a sword and shield re-skinned to look like the Master Sword and Hylian Shield isn't THAT great. Especially since that's the kind of stuff that's been in mods for years.

Speaking of, while it has been confirmed the Switch version will have all the DLC for Skyrim, nothing at all on if it'll have mods.

Considering this is Nintendo we're talking about here, I wouldn't be surprised if there isn't any.

That's the way the sweet roll crumbles.

Really, the only viable audience for Skyrim on Switch is:

a. The die hard Nintendo fans who refused to purchase any other gaming platform, including PC. Since until now, Skyrim was unavailable on any Nintendo platform.

b. If you just REALLY like the novelty of playing Skyrim on the go and don't want to look awkward opening your laptop on the bus or on the plane to play some Skyrim.

The latter I can see a case for, but I believe in your case Decade, you mentioned that you were adamant on never taking your Switch out of your home...

You're serious right now?

Zoe Quinn created a game about trying to live with depression. Trying to compare that with "Hurrrr, what if the world sucked because Feminism won?" is like comparing apples to pickup trucks.
Well, if you can make something based on whatever you want m, then yes.

I mean...yeah?

That's kind of the big selling point of indie games. Being able to make the games indie developers want to make, the kind that are too niche to be backed by the big publishers.

What's wrong with that?

It's been confirmed that all the DLC for Skyrim will be included in the Switch version. I can't find the picture, but there's a picture of the box art that mentions that all the DLC will be in the game.

Wow, where to begin here?

Since you clearly don't believe in creative freedom, please outline for the rest of us what people are allowed to base games on. I'd really like a definitive list of acceptable concepts, according to you. Because it just seems interesting you're quick to jump to the defense of a game being designed to attack a specific real life group (quite possibly based off misconceptions of a wide variety) but you're okay denegrating a game that was designed to help people understand a very real and prevalent issue in modern society, with a "pay what you want" model and with a portion of proceeds going to a major charity.

So we're getting Super Lucky's Tale and Tunic, two different games starring anthropomorphic foxes, neither of which are Sonic games.

Ooh, Age of Empires: Definitive Edition. Oh, it's W10 exclusive...

Dude, I'm not arguing ethics with you. If you want to dislike something based on its premise, be my guest.

I wonder if the Switch-exclusive Skyrim content will make its way onto the PC version. If not, I suppose it's a fair trade: We don't get the Zelda gear, while the Switch players don't get Fall of the Space Core and Lokir's Tomb.
