Let's not forget Bleeding Cool is the only one reporting this. People are sourcing them. I'll believe it when The Hollywood Reporter or Variety reports it.

I hope this doesn't happen myself. It sounds like a Smallvile remake at best, a show I never really liked.

David Goyer presents no sorry already killed for me. Attaching his name to a project without amazing talent to stop the crazy I'm sorry i'm not interesting.

I'm not sure, but what's the point of a Krypton show?

I believe the reasons for the Goyer hate is that he isn't a good solo writer. He's got good ideas, but he needs someone else to temper it and rein it in. Also he compared She-Hulk to a green stripper. Doesn't help ones image.

Edit: Just through a google search, I found this discussion on another forum. This can articulate it better than I can.

The only thing I can say is I'd rather watch a tv show about Krypton then Gotham, although that doesn't mean much lol.

A properly funded show about Krypton with a talent crew working on it would be amazing. Also be more interested in it then Gotham even though i do enjoy Gotham.

Would'nt it be better to base something around Kandor instead? That actually has an optimistic outcome, plus you could have Nightwing and Flamebird, Brainiac, Mon-El, all sorts

Dear, Dc/Wb if you wanna make an impact then green light a Lobo series to FX or something and cast someone who fits the role well. A Lobo series would win them over with fans for sure.

I don't know how to feel, but I'm hoping for some Game of Thrones-style political struggles, since it felt like the Man of Steel version could have gone that way.

Better yet, if you have the budget for an alien world setting like Krypton, then just make L.E.G.I.O.N. happen.

What if it's literally about the element Krypton and how it was discovered?

Maybe they should just combine this concept with the Supergirl show and have her in the 31st century.

My heart longs for Val, Tinya and Reep.

Confirmed to be in development for Syfy.

From Warner Horizon Television and DC Comics, Krypton takes place years before the Superman legend we know, when the House of El was shamed and ostracized. This drama, which is in development, follows the Man of Steel's grandfather as he brings hope and equality to Krypton, turning a planet in disarray into one worthy of giving birth to the greatest Super Hero ever known.

A show where we all know the series finale is going to be extinction of the entire cast and given to us by a guy who can't write dialog to save his life?

No thank you.

Goyer is producing. Ian Goldberg is writing.

I'm just happy it's not about Jor-El specifically. We've done his story enough different ways already.

Watching Seyg-El lament/grouse over how him and Zor-El fall out will at least present something new.

Have we ever had a comic that focused on Krypton before Jor El? This could be interesting perhaps Krypton meets game of thrones or dune.

I guess we'll have to get used to the idea of Kryptonian architecture looking uncannily like Vancouver.
