Ratings were very solid last night. Congrats to the show!

Just got done watching it, really loved it. The scene where Fozzy pays the price for copying Piggy's insult to him at the monster cracked me up as did Scooter getting thrown out the cart twice by Elizabeth Banks. I may be wrong but didn't the girl who plays Fozzy's girlfriend play Sheldon's crazy fangirl in an episode of the Big Bang Theory?
She's Riki from Garfunkel & Oates.

I haven't read up on it, but been hearing a lot of parents are in an uproar over the adult content in The Muppets. Personally, I laugh at them. I mean seriously, this show was never meant for kids it's a prime time show clearly for the teen/adult audience. That was apparent from the first previews, but people will be people. I look forward to next week.

Kermit said in an interview that there was nothing that you couldn't watch with your kids. I think it might be one of those things where people can enjoy this on two levels - the kids can see the Muppets being themselves, and the adults can enjoy the occasions of grown-up humor (like Fozzie getting frustrated about the kind of responses a bear will get on dating sites). Or it could be, once the writers can find a balance.

I liked it fine. I wish there were a little more Muppet-y weirdness and maybe a little less interpersonal drama (so more of the Scooter/Elizabeth Banks golf cart antics and less of the Kermit/Piggy breakup baggage). But it's only the first episode, and hopefully they'll find their feet soon.

I'll watch another episode, but I don't see myself sticking with it. It was okay, but it didn't pull me in like the previews did.

Saw the first episode, I don't think I like the format. Which wasn't really a surprise. I like the muppets more when they're more over the top. I don't need to see them doing mundane things.

Last night's episode was just average at best. The only scene that really had me laughing was Kermit trying to jump over Josh Groban.

So the muppet reporter has an ex-wife. Huh.

And I guess Bobo is over Cindy Crawford.

I lmfao when Lawrence Fishburne told Kermit he wasn't going to do the show because It sucked. Then came back to apologize only to say he was apologizing for the show sucking. XD

When they're signing the bday card

"Don't draw dirty pictures."
"Aw, ok, I'll make it into a saxophone."

LOL

The end scene with Gonzo cockblocking Kermit when they are in the lift with Lea Thompson had me in stitches, purely for Kermit's expression

I'm liking the show so far. It's got far more "mature" themes than I remember the previous shows/movies having, maybe that's because kids are raised on stuff like Modern Family. It also doesn't seem to try to ride the success of previous work, which I admire. Though my favourite Muppets are Gonzo and Sam, I'm confident they'll get some focus at some point.

Hell, when was the last time Gonzo & Rizzo did something together?

I really love the unspoken joke in this episode. That Fozzie's comedic idol is Jay Leno. That Fozzie's idol is Jay Leno. I love it because it's so subtle and Jay Leno must have missed it to agree to guest star.

Hahaha. While I like to imagine that happening, I think even he knows he's a hack. But when you have sweet sweet Dorito money, who needs intelligence and wit?

If Leno did miss it and isn't just being self-deprecating, that's glorious. I love how even Gonzo just brushes off the e-vite as a spam email. Still strikes me as a little odd that Fozzie's confident and brazen enough to steal, though. Still, overall it works.

Also, I'm surprised that Big Mean Carl is becoming one of my favourite Muppets, after never really liking him in the past.

I don't think it's confidence that makes Fozzie steal, just natural foolishness.

Gee, can you believe Leno screamed at Fozzie to get out at the end of the segment? That was too mean rather than funny, that is when Fozzie tried to steal Jay's pencil. I would have rather grabbed him by the collar and thrown him out in a comical way. I would've told Fozzie to Get outta here and DON'T COME BACK! But what if this happened? Let's say I were Fozzie Bear, and if Leno ever comes back to the studio and asks kindly for Miss Piggy so he could be on her show, I'd snap and tell him, "F--k you! That's right, I stole your candy dish and broke it! So take that pencil to Vegas and shove it up your ass, and don't come back!" It would be like that Youtube video of Fozzie that I saw of him cussing out Statler and Waldorf in 2006 when they did a parody of the Michael Richards rant in 2006. You know that will never happen on a future episode.

Fozzie would more than likely just beg for his forgiveness. I haven't seen anything Muppets based in a long while, but that feels like what Fozzie would do.

As for the show, I'm glad I stuck it out for the second episode I haven't laughed that hard in a while. Like I've always said never judge a show by it's first episode. Unless you despised it than you probably won't like the first episode.

The idea of Bobo having a daughter is a little odd to me.

For me right now, it's not really the plots that have me laughing, but the little side moments - for example, Kermit talking about how he loves to drive in his golf cart ("The speed limit's 5, but I'll do 6 or 7") or Big Mean Carl being the receptionist. They're building a nice little world here.

Now they just have to add Foo-Foo, Miss Piggy's dog, Walter, Rowlf, and Constantine and Boom we have the main Muppets from Muppets Most Wanted.

Tuesday's episode was an improvement over last week's. As a big fan of Parks & Recreation I was so happy to see Nick Offerman on there. I also thoroughly enjoyed Christina Applegate and Liam Hemsworth's appearances as well. The show still needs some work though, but I understand that it has barely started.
