Oh... so it's just a "lego environment"... That footage wasn't someone designing something for others to play eventually.

I friggin' LOVE this show. Ever since I watched the first episode, I was hooked. The writing is clever, the jokes are hilarious, the songs are some of the best I've EVER heard in an animated series, and every character is likeable. This show is second only to Sgt. Frog in my heart as my favorite show of all time. I really hope Hasbro takes advantage of the expanded fan base and has Shout! Factory release some awesome DVDs. This is one of those shows that I absolutely MUST own on DVD. Consider me a fan!

As for who my favorite character is, I just adore Fluttershy. She is one of the most adorable characters I've ever seen in a show and everytime she's on screen, I just go "D'AWWWWWW!". I just wish Hasbro would release a show-accurate PVC figure of her. She's one of the only main ponies without one.

A Pony Music Video using Weird Al's Polkarama, which got the attention of Weird Al himself.

Just started watching the show, on episode4. But I do wish in the future they would tackle Rescue From Midnight Castle from the 80s Pony show.

It's a damn shame this thread only has four pages. That tells me that too many people haven't seen the show or refuse to watch it given its content. But you know what? MLP:FIM is such a great show.

Does anyone know when season 2 is supposed to start airing?

No clue when but I'm hoping for October/November myself also got my fingers crossed that a DVD set is announced at ComicCon.

This shit's all over Second Life too. They have a Bronyville sim and you can get avatars of the Ponies and everything.

I just don't get it.

I'm not exactly a fan of the show yet, but it has caught my attention.

That Derp Pony in particular cracks me up, especially how such a mere animation error and inside joke turned into possibly an even more popular character than the main group of the show.

I've watched every episode at least twice. Some of them more then that.

And I can honestly say-I do not like this show.

I, the thread maker, do not like this show.

....but it's not a bad show. It's definitely low on the maturity level, but beyond that it's well made, has smart people behind it, and a lot of love for the fanbase that never should have been.

I'll also note, I have seen the episodes the stated times...but never alone.

Can I list shows that do what this does better? Yes. Automatically. One from the very same channel.

Scooby Doo Mystery Inc. and Transformers Prime.

However MLP is still a good show. I do not like it, but there's no reason for me to call it bad.

Oh I didn't call it bad, I haven't seen it. I won't judge something that I haven't seen.

What I have seen is the popularity of a girl's show go through the roof overnight that happens to be enjoyed by a bunch of guys.

I just posted to let others know that they can live out their wildest fantasies now, though way of SL.

It's a fantasticly made show, I think. And a fantastic fanbase. You should see the amount of fanfic and art, as well as re-edited videos, that pour into Equestria Daily...well... daily... And music! Fans have remixed the music from the series, and even made a lot of their own, in tribute to various characters.

If you haven't given the show a try yet, please do so. Even if it's not your favorit, you're not going to find it a waste of your time.

The main characters are well-made. Rather than being flat stereotypes, they all have particular strengths and failings. Rather than just being "the group everything happens to", you have all of these background characters that have come to just be something else.. and the main characters all hold down jobs, homes, and responsibilities in their daily lives, aside from what the plot of the day happens to be.

The voice acting, and the range of expression developed for the animation vectors really brings these fleshed-out characters to life. And when I said the characters have failings, I wasn't talking about some of the small quibles from a Transformers Techspec.. The show has given us a realistic portrayal of sleep deprivation (altered personality, impared vision and hearing, micro-napping), revealed that the penchant for precision that makes one good at her job also manifests itself as some not-inconciderable OCD, and another of the characters is... well... Insane. Clinicaly insane. Sudden twitching and hearing voices insane. And only the viewers know the reality of this.

If you want a history of how amazingly the fandom has developped in such a short period of time, check out the Friendship is Magic page on knowyourmeme.com.

http://knowyourmeme.com/memes/subcul...dship-is-magic

And by all means.. don't forget the sub-memes.

http://knowyourmeme.com/memes/my-lit...magic/children

One of the most amazing things about this is the feedback that the fans are getting from the creators of the show.

The transformation of an animation error into the character Derpy Hooves, who started behaving in the background on the show just the way the fans had been developing her.

The Equestria Girls video parody of California Girls, which acknowledged both Bronies, and cannonized "DJ-Pon-3" the stage-name of another favorit background character, Vinyl Scratch.

And just released at ComicCon, the MLP:FiM poster from Hasbro. This thing is just an amazing acknowledgement of fan-favorit background characters, and of all unexpected things from Hasbro, even appears to awknowledge the relationship between Lyra and Bonbon.

I don't want to do any of that. I don't want memes and whatnot about it, what I want is for it to go away.

While that sounds negative, it's just... an overload. I find myself turning around and seeing it everywhere. Over at TFW2005.com I see tons of "Brony" avatars and I can't anyone seriously who has them.

I don't care how great or funny or whatever it is, and it's great it floats your (speaking in general here) boat, but there is such a thing as too much of a good thing. It's become something that it shouldn't that fast, and I hope it ends just as fast.

To me, it will be a show that girls should watch, and brush their ponies hair while they do. Because last I checked, they weren't very "action" oriented for "action figures."

I meant "action figures." Hey, it's great you can do a "brohoof" with your brony, but what about the figures? Oh, the legs don't move.

Action figures indeed.

Does...that really matter?

Really, does anything you say really matter.

If it fair that the show is so popular? No.

As said, the two shows I cited are far superior to it and don't get a tenth the attention.

...but that's no reason to want it to just go away, especially when you yourself haven't seen it.

Haters gonna hate, Ponies gonna pwn.

It's.. not about the toys. Yes, they're decidedly less than "exciting".. or even accurate...

It's about this stuff:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VSZXY_WuHe0

Or if you want more action..

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_o3TTuGrYuQ

Also, if you really INSIST on trying to call the toys..um... "action figures".... Then the sub-line these are an example of is in scale and does have moveable legs and light-up features.
