I've been enjoying this show immensely. The wit and humor is terrific. I do think they need to fight more demons, like the original series, though.

Amusingly I do not identify as a Brony. The show is...at times enjoyable, but I cannot claim to be a fan of it. ...but its a fun show regardless and I can watch it. I'm friends with a serious brony though and am spreading the love if only for him.

However my favorite pony is Rarity. Make of this what you will.
I make of it that you want a high-maintenance girlfriend.

This isn't the first time I've liked girly things. Sailor Moon got me into anime, my DS Lite is pink, and I do enjoy playing as female characters in games.
I like playing female characters in games a lot, too... I don't necessarily think it's that they're girly (although some of them are..), but it's because they just rock. Samus Aran is one of my favorit game characters of all time... In the Smash Bros series, Samus and Peach are two of my three regulars..

Although.. I also like to make female characters in role-playing games, and I have much less excuse for that. Girls just rock.

I got the 5-pack with the molded hair. I'm in the process of repainting Princess Celestia (she's not pink, she's white with a pink outline - that makes her a much paler pink than the plastic is! >.>). I like the molded hair ones because they look the most like their show counterparts, but I'm going to have a godawful time finding Rainbow Dash, Fluttershy, and Rarity, though. It makes me sad. ;.;

But I have found entertainment! Let me share! Sharing is caring, etc. >.>

I've concidered the molded-hair set, but thus far set aside the idea for two reasons: 1. Thus far, we haven't seen anything to indicate Hasbro is putting Fluttershy, Rainbow Dash, or Rarity out with moldes hair, and 2. Molded-hair Applejack has no hat.

(Now.. if they'd just make a Celestia with non-molded hair in the smaller scale...)

I haven't seen ANY Applejack figures with her hat. The one AJ figure with a hat that I've seen is one of the larger toys, and the hat she's with seems more like something Rarity should have.

The deluxe Applejack that comess with the...um.. barn front prop.. That one comes with her hat and lasso (coiled up). Unfortunately the hat is blue... no idea why they'd make it blue... But A hat is better than NO hat.

I read the show's done by Cartoon Network's 90s staff, people who worked on Dexter, Samurai Jack, Foster's Home For Imaginary Friends and PowerPuff Girls.

That would cretinaltely explain alot and why the show is suppousedly so good. Can anyone confirm?

Well, the Hasbro site says they have Rarity and Dash, but no Fluttershy. But then their store doesn't have either. MAKE UP YOUR MINDS SO I CAN BUY MERCH, PLEASE.

Molded-hair AJ also has twintails instead of just one ponytail on her mane, but I think it's kind of cute. I may have to try making her a hat out of felt or something, though, or maybe just hit up a craft store for a teensy cowboy hat. (The joys of living in Texas; we have that stuff. Somewhere.)

Confirmed.

"The show is also notable for being helmed by Lauren Faust, a highly accomplished, Emmy Award-nominated animator, and writer and director of The Powerpuff Girls and Foster's Home For Imaginary Friends. Friendship is Magic is her attempt to rescue the genre of girls' cartoons by presenting a clever show with a strong and diverse cast of female characters who aren't pre-occupied with fashion and boys. Her goal is to create an intelligent show for girls, that boys and grown-ups also can watch. So far, she seems to be doing an admirable job of it." - TV Tropes is Love

Yeah I watched the first 2 episodes. Not really my thing, like I was was never a huge fan of PowerPuff Girls, but the show's definitely well written, the characters are adorable and have great personalities, the humor's good (much better than in PPG). Great show for kids that won't make parents/older siblings watching it with them vomit instantly, kind of like Wall-E formula. It's very simple but not insultingly-infantile so it can definitely be universally liked by people of all ages. I liked it but I won't watch it religiously

First two episodes really is a bad idea for judging the series as a whole, because they're the pilot eps. The show is different in set-up starting ep 3.

This is the one time I'll say-watch another episode.

...mind I say this never having seen an episode by myself YET (I've caught up with 'em all though...but with the Brony I mentioned before)

But there are some things to have fun with in this show.

AJ has the wrong hairstyle as well, and you can't really fix that like the other toys of her.

I loved the pilot 2 parter, but was unsold on the series as a whole...

Then I saw the Benny Hill parody in the third episode and got hooked.

True.. I kind of wish they sold the molded-hair ones separately though. Twilight looks really good with the molded hair, and she's definately my favorit of the six.

Although I'm enjoying Pinkie Pie a lot, too. She's such an insanely random critter.

That was hillarious. I never thought I'd see a Benny Hill reference like that on My Little Pony.

I think one of the funniest moments yet is still "FlutterGUY".

Another bit that shocked me was Rainbow Dash's use of "horse apples" as a curse word. That was bold.

After that last episode, Pinkie Pie's officially been cemented as my favorite character on this series.

Got done watching the first 19 episodes. Looking forward to more adventures with ponies! On a side note, I don't really care for the Cutie Mark Crusaders. We've had two episodes about them in a row, and the characters aren't even that interesting.

I don't expect this to be signifigant to everyone, but this year's April Fools event from Paizo is causing quite a stir on more than one forum.. Stirs of "I want to really use that!" rather than laughing it off.

If you're a player of 3.5 d20 and/or Pathfinder RPG, or even just a regular follower of the RPG scene in general, check out an April 1st write-up gone... popular.

And if you play Pathfinder. Use 'em in your game. Apparently, several other folks intend to.

I would like to link to the discussion on the Paizo forums, but.. I seem to remember some rule about not linking to other forums here... Or did I have that mixed up..?

That's one of the most beautiful things I've ever seen. Now, to set up a game for it...
