I forgot about that. Also nowadays there's a television voice over talking about next programme. And squeezing the end credits sideways for advertising next show or what's on later. I don't like that especially when talking over film credits spoiling the music etc.

I guess one of the perks being outside the US are end credits -- I hope it's cooler than just a black screen, but it probably will be plus an instrumental of the theme.

No one would ever see them. The end credits are run over the last 30 sec of the episode. So no one would ever see any outtakes that the end credits would have.
It would end up being a free bonus for the DVDs. And the web/Netflix versions.

So yeah, they should bring them back.

Or they can just save them so the DVDs can actually have special features...

Even Netflix shrinks the screen the second the credits start rolling.

I think if Lionsgate were going to that they would have done it by now. Plus even if they saved them for DVD, I doubt they'd do one per an episode.

Maybe is Shout gets the rights. But I don't think even their Samurai/Megaforce DVDs had any bloopers.

Oh, I didn't know Lionsgate did bloopers on the DVDs. I wonder why they dropped them with later seasons.
Still, I bet those bloopers wouldn't be as extensive as having them in the ending credits of each episode.

Haven't dug out those old Samurai discs in a while, but I remember the bloopers disappointing. Very watered-down. Then again, some of the older blooper credits consist of actors tripping and blowing raspberries.

The audition footage was fun stuff. We wouldn't see anything like that again until Dino Charge's 'you're a Ranger' moment. Unless I'm mistaken, everything since in this vein was produced specifically for PMC, or online.

Doesn't matter how much effort they pour into standalone DVD releases, when most kids are streaming and most fans wait for box sets.

The links would be broken even if the site still existed. The first one literally links to http://samuraicast.com/gallery/t...bum=446&page=1 - see the ... in there? Botched copy/paste. The Youtube playlist links are broken for that reason too.

Oh they absolutely did care for a while at least. But they had a different vision for it than Toei did.
Disney wanted out after wild force, Then Disney Douglas Sloan and Ann Austen saved it by moving the show to NZ only moving Alpha stunts there and firing the rest of Saban's staff. Disney wanted out again after Dino Thunder but he series was still an astounding success in Europe. So much so, that Jetix UK made Disney sign a contract to keep prouducing Power Rangers till around 2008. after junghle fury Disney was embarrassed to even be airing the show let alone producing it thinking of just dubbing over Sentai but Bandai and Jetix UK came and funded RPM and Disney finally got the show canceled in 2009

^2004? Wasn't Jetix yet. You mean Fox Kids Europe.

Which suggest it was concerns with cost. After all they had 458 episodes to run in syndication now. Even Saban allegedly only saw the series going on for 10 years

Disney didn’t have to keep the show when Doug suggested moving shop to New Zealand to save on cost.

. Disney wanted out again after Dino Thunder but he series was still an astounding success in Europe.
Source? This is the first I’ve heard Disney tried to cancel outside of Wild Force, Jungle Fury, and RPM

Everything I've seen suggests SPD was the last gasp of Disney 'caring' about PR. The press release for Mystic Force suggests their push was successful but they still didn't care.

Mystic Force was honestly the last season I remember Disney giving enough of a shit to properly advertise.

I also feel like I remember SPD and Mystic Force getting better promotion than Ninja Storm and Dino Thunder. But that might be faulty memory

Jetix Europe got involved with RPM. From memory, I think some of the old Jetix Europe investment reports also suggested that they also co-funded Jungle Fury, but I remembering thinking the wording wasn't very clear.

After RPM Jetix Europe was bought out in full by Disney. If that hadn't happened, then who knows, Jetix Europe might have paid for a few more seasons, as PR was a mega hit for them.

Eka Darville said in a podcast interview (I forget which one, maybe Dan's Toku Rants?) that Disney wanted to make a big push with RPM and have it as the flagship show for Disney XD. But shortly after filming started they changed their minds and the budget was cut.
