Man, that 300th page snuck up on me...

Starter depends entirely on if these final evolutions hold up. Litten's first two are the best, but that hooded archer would be too damn cool to turn down for a wrestler, and the final forms are what will be our longest serving team members.

Alolans I want are Sandshrew and Raticate. Rounding things out, I guess Passimian, Mudsdale and Type:Null.

It may be bad, but it's perfectly good at it.

Nah, I'm the opposite. I respect Green Arrow, but I need my Tiger Mask.

Litten all the way, yo.

So many I want to try out, I'm not sure if I should get both S/M when they're released or just wait down the line to get Moon.

Shame that the Bank is not upgraded yet since I'd do the starter trick of depositing two of them onto there.

The owl looks to be the only good starter based on its final evolution. I'm impressed if so, the last few grass starters were pretty underwhelming, although Serperior wasn't bad.

I've never understood the appeal of Snivy / Serperior. There's just something off about the design, and I find it incredibly ugly. I really wish Sewaddle had been the Grass starter instead.

Iwane Masa'aki worked on XY & Z Episode #45, as expected of an episode with Natsume Kunihiko working as the animation supervisor. I suspect this will be the last episode he works on for the series, too. I imagine he'll be doing a lot of key animation for the first two episodes of Sun & Moon, even if he isn't acting as the sole key animator. I'm really looking forward to seeing how many funny faces he can pump into the series now that there seems to be more creativity allowed.

Really want Jararanga to learn Sky Uppercut. And maybe Rolling Kick. And if it gets a high Sp. Atk., Aura Sphere.

Well its a grass snake. But I think the grass starters have been getting the short end of the stick for a while. I like Sceptile but onward its a mixed bag.

Satoshi and Pikachuu never get to wear faces like these. Satoshi and outright derision never go together! Citron and Eureka soaked up all of the good energy and timing in XY & Z and left none for Satoshi, so I'm really looking forward to seeing if Sun & Moon can avoid that.

That first Ash face is more expressive than anything he's done in a long time.

For some reason the animation feels like Digimon Tri or some of those popular anime movies that Miyazaki(?) does.

I like Alolan Muk! The rainbow look to it is obviously based on how some oils and gasoline will look while on concrete or in parking lots from cars.

Looks like Kommo-o has a Dragon Type Close Combat/Hammer Arm move too, known as Clanging Scales. Serebii says it lowers it's defense after being used.

Mega Kangaskhan has been nerfed according to people on Twitter.

The 2nd attack from Parental Bond now does 1/4 instead of 1/2.

Hiro'oka Toshihito is not going to be the character designer for Sun & Moon. That role is now being handled by Nakano Satoshi (中野悟史) and Yasuda Shuuhei (安田周平). Nakano was the action animation supervisor for Pocket Monster: The Origin Episode #4, so it makes a lot of sense that someone trusted with an action role would be made into the main character designer of a new series that is more heavy on the movement. It'll be interesting to see if Nakano and Yasuda take on the roles of chief animation supervisor and assistant chief animation supervisor, too.

EDIT: Oh, shit. Tomiyasu Daiki is now the series director while the head writer is no longer Tomioka Atsuhiro, it's Matsui Aya, the head writer of Dragon Ball GT. The ten year reign of Tomioka is over, no!!

Alolan Muk looks hilarious in an awesome way. And sort of didn't expect Boundsweet to be our Ralts for the generation. (Lurantis is better looking; somehow the high collar is weird on that final form)
