Why would they? It's performing well.

If they cancelled it, another network would jump on it, and Seth knows that.

No, it's not. The live ratings and DVR numbers are significantly down from last season.

Fans and people on the crew were banking on the show getting renewed because a third season would give them a big tax break.

Um, no they aren't?

The first 3 episodes of season 1, sure. But the rest of the season sat around 3.5 million viewers. Season 2's been pulling in around 3 million viewers.

Rating wise, Season 1 was around .9, Season 2 is around .7.

They're really not that different. For a basic cable show, it's doing really well. Pretty sure people are just doomsaying for the sake of doomsaying.

Um, yes they are?

The lowest rated episode of season 1 got 3.32 million live and 1.9 rating, and 6.13 million live+7.

The highest rated episode of season 2 (outside of the premiere) got 3.18 million and a 0.7 rating with 5.93 live+7.

That's a significant drop considering how expensive this show is.

And the show doesn't doesn't air on cable in the US, so I don't know what that had to do with anything.

The first season got a big boost from a couple of NFL post-slots, so airing after football season this year might have Fox be more forgiving with the ratings evaluation this time.

That's too bad about The Gifted. I actually thought it had a chance. I don't suppose there's a chance in it being picked up somehow either.

Now all that's left for me to wonder about is MacGyver, but that actually still seems like a sure thing to me.

Wow I think this may be the first time I've seen any network renew all of its shows and not cancel anything.

The CW is the only network that really gives a chance to it shows. Giving them the opportunity to grow and get a fan base.
Not just cancelling stuff because it didn't do quite as well as the network wanted it to after a week and half.
