Eh. It's Seth MacFarlane. We're guaranteed at least 2-3 seasons with the clout he has. I mean, how long did the Cleveland Show run? That show was an unmitigated disaster.
TBH, that show was screwed by Fox in its four season run, which is a shame because I did like the show, though I felt it wasn't the same at the bar scenes in Family Guy during that run without him.

I was expecting to hate it but I actually greatly enjoyed it. It's clear everyone working on it actually has a deep love for Star Trek and it shows. Hell honestly it make's me wish Seth's actual Star Trek show had been made.

Not all shows he produces last that long. Ones not part of the Family Guy-American Dad=Cleveland Show universe have not done well.

The Winner - Six epiddes.

Dads - 19 episodes.

Bordertown - 13 Episodes.

I would bring up the updated version of Cosmos, but that was always intended for a limited run, like the original Carl Sagan version.

Get Doc Brown in there too at some point. I mean, he fit him into A Million Ways to Die In the West...
Not bad choices.

Bruce Campbell could also make a great choice for a cameo. His trademark tough-guy attitude, jockish swagger and that impressive chin of his would work wonders as a ball-busting Admiral.

I miss The Adventures of Brisco County Jr.

Bruce Campbell and Kevin Sorbo in the series, would be quite fun.

I wonder if he could fit Liam Neeson in there somewhere...seeing as he was part of a certain space opera back in the day.

So....

How did the scientist lady get aged by several years right before the ray was never touched when it was calibrated to age the banana a month, then they are shown manually recalibrating it one hundred years for their master plan?

Kevin Sorbo will do anything offered to him. That's the Sorbo guarantee.

This is supposed to be a parody of the space opera genre in general.

Interesting. Will give it a watch once it's on DVD in a few years.

It was pretty boring to me. You know that feeling when you think you're about to sneeze but you don't. That's like this show and laughing.

Everytime I see this or the "Pickups and Cancellations of Television Shows" thread bumped I think I'll see a headline saying "Cancelled"

Considering it had Fox's best premiere numbers since Empire, it's not going to be happening anytime soon. Unless the numbers start dropping dramatically.

Exactly.

Light smiles, a couple of chuckles, but ultimately more space opera than space opera parody. And without enough opera to make up for the lack of parody.

I wouldn't trust ratings quite yet, given their lead-in is the most popular broadcast in America.
