Damn those masterpiece Optimus and Cheetor look great. I really want the Cheetor, maybe they'll become available stateside sometime soon after launching, one can only hope. And then I'd dig a masterpiece Silverbolt, Dinobot, and maybe Blackarachnia she grew on me during the show.

Actually though I would be content with another line like Generations even. I only managed to get Rattrap from that line, and that was by pure chance or noticing it since I had no idea such figures had come out or else I would've shot for Rhinox. But it would be nice for even just another line like that.

EDIT: Oh, and also Tigertron and Airrazor would be great too.

That's exactly my thought process. These Masterpiece figures look spectacular, but I'd rather have Generations versions. The biggest problem right now is not having those hypothetical/future Generations figures to sway me back away from Masterpiece. I have Rattrap, Rhinox and Waspinator. I have a load of 90s Beast Wars figures that scale with them. I don't really want to start building up what is essentially a brand new collection. On the other hand, these look amazing and they're childhood heroes of mine. I wish we already had images of the hopeful, eventual Generations Beast updates, but alas...

I'll be getting an MP Dinobot either way, though. Not only can we not say for certain that a Generations figure (hopefully Voyager this time) would be the best it could be, but it's Dinobot. I can afford having an oversized version of him if he's incredible, haha!

I would love to see what Takara could do with some of the later Transmetal/Fuzors figures in the MP line. I wouldn't hesitate to pay good money for a Silverbolt or Depth Charge with updated engineering.

You know, if IDW Optimus Prime wanted to annex Earth he should probably try to apologize for their war with the Decepticons. Next, maybe bring in someone like Swerve or a Cybertronian who actually has an interest for Earth culture come down and maybe show that not all Cybertonians are asshole with a big stick up their ass. Next, maybe try to go to the Rescue Bots dimension.

I really don't have any desire to see the fifth film, but this is kind of interesting. Liam Garrigan, who played King Arthur on Once Upon a Time, is in talks to reprise the role in Transformers: The Last Knight.

The fact that we never got a mainstream repaint of Grimwing in Silverbolt colors disappoints me to this day. It was the perfect mold for Silverbolt. Same goes for AoE Scorn into BW Megatron.

Exactly. Who's to say that isn't for the opening scene of the movie and then cut to the present day?
Yeah. This movie will be influenced by the King Arthur and the Knights of the Round table lore.

I bet Excalibur is the star saber. It shrinks for King Arthur to use to slay a dragon(Ancient PredaKing)

Optimus seeks it out. Add some explosions and blatant advertising trucks in the background.

Boom. You have a 700 hundred million dollar hit

King Arthur is cast

Voice acting is still ropey. Optimus' "Rodimus, no!", for example. Starscream's "satisfying" could've been so much more delectable in delivery. Megatron's performance is still the strongest. Victorion finally shows up and has no significance. So much for that prologue thing focusing on her. Starscream's plan is quite nifty, though. Of course he's up to no good! Poor typecast Starscream... haha!

I've been reading the IDW volumes that I got for my birthday last month, and it's provided some jarring context for this series. It really is like they took basic set-dressing from the comics and didn't bother with any of the depth and care. Of course I'm not expecting the expanse of mythos that's in the comics, but... Windblade is just angry, Rodimus is flat, the Combiners' experience as gestalt entities is barely there (and their very existence as Combiners falls utterly flat when I don't think we've actually seen any of them as their components yet). It's all very basic.

They really should've taken the opportunity to redesign Victorion a bit. Change the colors and one of the twins into the Firefly mold. Bam, regular retail Victorion.
