You know it was funny, last week I was in Walmart and they're redoing their toy aisle. They had two or three Godzilla figures, and one of them was King Caesar. Of all monsters, that one. I thought it was funny and odd.
If it's not a coincidence...GOOD.

That goof of a dog deserves another chance on the big screen.

Yeah I mentioned before, even though he's only been in the one movie I just really liked him, and yeah want to see him again. Either way though, it was really an odd choice especially given he's only had one movie appearance where as there's others with multiple.

Okay so looking it up, seems it's part of the Godzilla Classic line.

Really isn't a fancy figure, more like a plastic statue really. Don't know how much Walmart was charging since they didn't have price tags up on the hooks yet, but I imagine not as much as Amazon has it listed for. Still, was neat.

Speaking of toys...

So in a familiar pattern, the toys for King of the Monsters may have spoiled a new detail regarding one of our monsters.

So either Rodan dies or Godzilla dies, but maybe causes another Godzilla to be born.

Which means King Kong will be Doom Guy levels of jacked once he fights Godzilla, or the new Godzilla will be nerfed.

I really don't think it is going to be that hard to get Kong up to Godzilla-level for the fight.

In the original movie, they established that he can consume energy, making him bigger and stronger. It also liked to go on about how Kong, due to being an ape, is a "thinking creature", using his mind to solve problems, etc.

The new Godzilla movie already has established that creatures can consume energy to grow and become stronger. Perhaps this new version of Kong can do the same thing. Maybe he will teamup with Mothra or something to helps things along?

They said in Skull Island that Kong clearly wasn't done growing, he was actually on the smaller side. After a couple decades, he could easily probably rival Godzilla anyways. Or close enough to where yeah his smarts can compensate.

Speaking of Burning Godzilla I half joked on Tumblr that since there's a Burning Gundam, and a Shining Gundam, and Kamen Rider Agito has a Burning form, and a Shining form does that mean that since there's a Burning Godzilla there's also Shining Godzilla

Planet Eater was something

While the monster fights weren't much to speak of the whole tone and atmosphere was great. Cosmic horror Ghidorah is actually pretty cool concept

Taking Planet Eater's argument at face value: If the only thing that can save the Earth is for humanity to return to some pre-Bronze Age tribal culture, I would say it's an infinitely better choice to enjoy our modern conveniences while we can and let the Earth be destroyed. I mean, everything dying just means we won't have to live with our decisions, as opposed to an eternity spent eking a living off of rocks and wishing we had something better, knowing we never can. The continuance of life is not a virtue in and of itself. It needs to be justified to us first.

Hedorah's environmental message was better, in the sense that it was a fit of confused, drug-fueled mania rather than simply being wrong.

Finally got around watching Godzilla The Planet Eater and lets just say I'm glad the anime trilogy is done. First movie was the best, simple concept of humanity trying to defeat Godzilla but with a nice twist at the end. City on the Edge of Battle was a complete waste of time and it had nothing to do with Godzilla. The third movie was much of the same. I wouldn't even count Godzilla's interaction with King Ghidorah as a fight. They want to be abstract with the Godzilla lore but comes off as boring and a chore to watch.

I already have enough faith that King of the Monsters will be better than the entire anime trilogy and how ironic is it that Toho is struggling with their own property and that the foreigners' work are more fateful to what fans want.

What is it that "fans "(EG, you) want, exactly?

Saw the idea on another messageboard: Godzilla vs. Pinhead from Hellraiser... who would win?

See, it's scenarios like these that I just don't get. The power sets are so dissimilar that I don't even see the entertainment in the hypothetical. Pinhead isn't a fighter: He sits around waiting for someone stupid (or kinky) enough to solve the puzzle box, at which point he swoops in, drags them off to the Hell Labyrinth, and subjects them to sensory and/or emotional overload for all eternity.

Point is, unless you very quickly un-solve the box, by the time you meet him he's already won. Another Cenobite was seen to apparently kill him with a slash to the throat after reverting him back to a normal human being (meanwhile, human gunfire has been shown to be ineffective against him in Cenobite form), but he was revived after being exposed to some human blood. His only terminal weakness is the Elysium Configuration, a trap producing infinitely reflected light (to counter the darkness inherent to his nature), designed specifically to destroy him and permanently close the potential connections between Earth and Hell.

That's a very weird match-up to Godzilla's entirely "earthbound" (albeit science fiction-y) powers. Was the slash to the throat that temporarily incapacitated Pinhead "special" because it was delivered by another supernatural creature? If so, would Godzilla stepping on him actually do anything? Could Pinhead simply whisk Godzilla away to the Labyrinth like he would anyone else who opens the box, regardless of his size?

Reminds me of when Shin came out and I joked that it looked like Godzilla got his hands on the lament configuration.

The movies is a bit mixed bag. It depends if you are looking for a Godzilla film or a sci fi film, I was content with both.
