Same here. Stoked anyway.

I'm pretty glad they split it into two films. One would be really cramped and they'd have to cut out a shit-ton of stuff- Like they did with Goblet of Fire.

Yeah, usually I didn't mind when they cut things out, but with this book, there really wouldn't be good things to cut out.

Some of my friends are seeing the first midnight showing, but unfortunately I have to be up at 6:30 the next morning to get ready for a morning in a classroom full of 1st graders, so I won't be going with them. But, I will most definitely be seeing it at some point that first Friday, and probably a second time the following week with my sister while we're both home for Thanksgiving Break.

I stopped watching HP after the second movie. The franchise don't do for me like those great 80s fantasy movies did. Those had real magic. So do they get better, more serious and intense or do you really see the G and PG in them? The first movie is G, the next two were PG, the next two are PG13, then PG again and now Deathly Hallows are PG13. Twilight has all three movies as PG13. Hopefully, Breaking Dawn will be R or PG15 or 16.

Actually the first two are what they are. They are meant for 11 year olds. As the both the Movies and Books progress the material progress different age range. The last movie should be Subtitled the Culling of Hogwarts. So that should give you an Idea on what happens in the the Deathly Hallows.

I'll try to see it on Friday night (I pray that there won't be any Sold Out theatres).
Even if you only saw the films and not books (like myself...never got to read them because they were always rented from libraries by others), you know one fact: Dumbledore's Army must return in order to fight the Death Eaters.

I really hate how it's Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1...I haven't been keeping up with the movie news since the initial announcement...but I'm curious where they're going to stop it for part 2. I can't wait to see how they pull of some of the stuff from the books...I have these own ideas in my head...hopefully they'll be just as good. I'm excited for sure.

Watched the movie today and it was awesome. Probably one of the better Harry Potter movie adaptation. Pace of the movie was pretty good and you can really follow the plot without reading the book.

Splitting this into 2 movies is really a good move as the movie followed closely to the book this time with all the important scenes and information included.
Much better overall than Half-blood Prince, which we all know, left out a lot of stuff from the book.

I'm skeptical of the 'two movies' route. I read the book, and maybe it was a long time ago but it doesn't seem to merit 2 movies worth. Just seems like a last ditch effort to make money.

If they WERE so concerned with 'making sure everything gets in' then why release the two films half a year apart? So that when Part 2 comes out, they can make more money by selling Part 1 on DVD & Blu Ray. People will want to watch Part 1 again before seeing Part 2 because they'll have forgotten half of it.

I agree that its a money thing. However I don't care. HP has been one of those film Franchises that bleeds me. I have owned multiple copies of the films. I own different copies of the books. I will be buying the BR ones soon. However I don't even own a BE player yet.

Also I'm kinda glade its two movies. If its one thing that this decade had it was Harry Potter. Through the bad Star Wars movies to great flicks like The Dark Knight we still always had Harry Potter coming. Its finally coming to an end and its kinda Sad. Knowing that we still got 1 more movie coming is a kinda cool.

Even though they're getting my money for both films..I agree with this. I'm still skeptical over the 2 films...the way I always saw it was they already cut stuff out from previous films that turned out to be important in the final book...no point in going back trying to reestablish those points...and if JK still supposedly approves all changes, they'd probably be able to reach a compromise...I'm all for authenticity and being as close to the original story as possible but at the same time, this feels like such an obvious attempt to double dip fans and stretch out the franchise as much as they can before the final hurrah.
