My break is going to be done soon, so I'm going to quickly post some of the latest news. First, the Russo Brothers spoke about welcoming Marvel characters like the X-Men into their universe.

Also, with the merger happening Bob Iger's bonus compensation is apparently being reworked.

The merger has a snag due to strict regulations in Latin American countries.

Brazil will give the okay to approve the Disney/Fox Deal without any hang-ups at. Making Mexico and Latin America the last hurdles to approve.

Wow.. it's getting close now. It says as early as early February. Depending on how long it takes Disney to sell off the sports channels that they agreed to.

Ok, funny thing, my cousin's wedding was recently and the wedding dinner was meant to be Disney Princess-themed, but at the same time the soundtrack of Greatest Showman also played a huge part. Which is funny since Greatest Showman is owned by Fox. And to think they were going to use a chess set for the decorations and I was gonna volunteer my Harry Potter chess set but that's under WB... They should've had one of those glass and frosted-glass chess sets, and say it's from Frozen.

Bob Iger says that R-rated Marvel films like Deadpool will continue to be made after the Disney and Fox deal is finalized. They will not be released under the traditional Disney and Marvel banners though.

Or Marvel Knights either or will be good to have a brand that slaps the R onto it to break it away from the mainstream marvel films. Hopefully they're within the MCU though. Even if there is little overlap it would be interesting to see the edgier side of the MCU. I have wanted a Midnight Son's show maybe we can get that as a movie.

Or they could revive Touchstone or another one of their dormant film brands.

Why would they do that. While they won't release it under Marvel Studios doesn't mean they won't be handling them. So like I said something that still shows it is a Marvel movie like Marvel Knights or Marvel Max will still tell people it is marvel as well as give it a tag to show it is for their R movies.

I wonder if the movies Disney releases under the Fox banner are sequels/remakes of films that Fox has already done, like Diary of a Wimpy Kid, Percy Jackson, Alvin & The Chipmunks and Home Alone. I could see Disney trying to build a Home Alone universe given that there's already been 5 movies.
