May is... a very dead month for Disney. Damn.

---

Anyway, according to TJ's actor during a livestream he said the casting director told him Andi Mack is set to return from Hiatus in June, unless Disney changes their mind and delays it another month.

And according to the usual "Inside Sources" on Tumblr, the writers took advantage of the refilms to re-write the ending of the finale, so that fans would have closure if they were not renewed for season 4, since the whole grandpa's actor controversy put the fate of season 4 up in the air.

Well damn. I knew Bizaardvark was on its last legs, but didn't realize it had already ended.

Similarly, I knew the grandpa's actor scandal was going to have serious production implications on Andi Mack, but I wonder if that was the predominate reason for the show's end or if it was just the straw that broke the camel's back, so to speak.

Disney's really trying to make people feel old.

They posted the full first episode of JONAS on youtube... for the show's 10th anniversary.

The animation and character designs are really nice, not sure if I'm down with the writing though.

I've seen every episode so far, and in general, I've quite enjoyed them. There are lots of great characters, and plenty of fun moments.

Out of curiosity, is Teen Beach Musical/Teen Beach 2 the only DCOM that didn't have a direct happy ending/conclusion for the main characters?

I mean, it's implied they will eventually fall for each other again, but we're never shown that. The movie opted for a happy ending for Lela, a supporting character, over the main characters. Is that the only DCOM that's done that?

Half of me thinks they did it expecting Teen Beach 3.

How to Build a Better Boy springs to mind, for the titular boy at least.

Both seasons of JONAS are also on Disney NOW. I'd forgotten how terrible LA was in contrast to the original until I watched it the other day. MAN, was it a step backward, and foisting poor Adam Hicks onto it, at that... (As an aside, I did pick up the entire first season back in the day. Volumes 2 and 3 - with the other brothers on the spines; I think Nick is on volume 1 - were put out overseas, though I think "I Love JONAS" and volume 2 are the exact same thing, so we only missed out on the final installment.)

What? LA was better than season 1. Not saying it was good but the drama was moderately more interesting than their attempts to be funny.

Whatever happened to Adam Hicks? He was like the default Disney Channel stand-in for when they needed to add or replace a male character on a show it seemed. Vaguely remember he had been in some mild legal issues a couple years back but don't know if it was resolved or what not.

See, this just makes the cancellation of Andi Mack make even less sense.

Sydney got way less viewers and ratings than Andi Mack season 3, let alone the overall show.

If it was entirely about the Grandpa drama, kill off the character and have the show address the death of a loved one, since it literally is a show about dealing with serious situations like that.

They always give their shows a second season. The real mystery is how Bunk'd got a 4th season.

Exactly! And none of the original Jessie cast is on it. How is it a spin-off now?

Given that none of the cast of the original will appear in said season, I do expect season 4 to be the show's last.

That much is pretty obvious. No Disney Channel show makes it past four seasons anyway.
