It seems the book also had a Beast Morphers snippet -- any details about it and the potential things to look forward to about it?
No, it's just a Gobusters picture and the PRBM logo. Nothing about the show.

Does the Mystic Force section have any defense about how random and messed the spell system is?

Guess that's decent rationale for the two-year season thing.

Except for the whole "falling in love with the characters" bit. That tends to require having characters that are, y'know, loveable.
See, I fell in love with characters during a year's time because we had 40 episodes worth of story (plus an annual crossover). Splitting/dragging that between 2 years doesn't give you a "bonus year" with the characters- defeats that purpose completely with half the screen time and a story that drags way too long.

The answer for the whole super seasons is what I expected it to be. Giving them more time to sell toys is something we all could've guessed. What's the point of having of having toys on shelves for longer when there are so few episodes to promote it, that you have to take a hiatus spanning multiple months. Given they take 4 months off a year, across the two years they only really have 16 months in two years where they can actually promote the toys, so they're only gaining about 5 months more worth of sales. For the whole character investment thing I find pretty cheap (to the point I don't even think it's an actual reason, but more so an excuse). If your season leaves fans wanting more, than that's a good thing. And the point only really applies if people actually like the first season (which only one season Saban Brands has achieved). As for the whole nickelodeon 20 episode thing, I'm sure they could've made it at least around 30 episodes if they really wanted to. Really, the reason is really just so they can have more time to milk it. As well as reasons they didn't give us, such as; more convenience in terms of production times and being able to choose what they want to adapt.

Ok, so my only complaint with this book is how flippin dangerous the lightning bolt tips are on the cover. I have dragged my hand across them multiple times (from reading while holding the book) and have bloody scratches where it happened. Holy moly those points are SHARP. It's a really neat effect for the cover. Just wow, I wouldn't let my kid look at it until they are older for safety reasons.

That might be my one gripe about it as well.

Damn. I was off work all day and could have gone and gotten this but am behind on all things Power Rangers and just saw this was out. I am half tempted to change my visit to my moms for tomorrow, but family should probably come above a power rangers guide that for all I know won't be in the brick and mortar stores.

You must not live near a Barnes & Noble store. A good number of them close or close-ish to me have them stocked.

I remember that for 17 years or so, we were all perfectly capable of falling in love with the characters despite only spending one year with them.

What's really funny is the Neo Saban era has, for the most part, featured characters who it's absolutely impossible to fall in love with.

It's very hard to feel emotionally connected to blank sheets of cardboard.

NeoSaban: "Ok, aside from translating Shinkenger word-for-word, what else can we do to bring back that old Mighty Morphin spark?"

*pops in a dusty VHS copy of "No Clowning Around" , gets to the part where Putties and Silvy are turned into cardboard cutouts *

NeoSaban: *all gasp* "We found our new gold standard! Or should say...cardboard standard??" *all grin and do a freeze-frame high five*

Thanks for the tip. I'll be aware of that when I get my copy

Anyone able to safely remove the poster from the inside back cover without ripping? I started to slowly peal it off and it started to rip, so I stopped..

Whenever I see those posters, I don't try to peel them off. I dunno, my room still needs some fixing before I think about putting posters on it. Also, not a fan of damaging a book for the sake of a poster.

I prefer when those things come separate from the book.

Got mine yesterday... itís lovely!

The thing about the posters and inserts. I like leaving those just as they are. Yeah some are meant to come out some not, but I just like leaving the book just as it is.

So now that makes a nice addition to my other books, Transformers Vault, TMNT Visual Dictionary and Back to the Future Ultimate Visual History.

Ordered mine off Amazon yesterday cause it was only $31 so better than B&N. Though I would've preferred to buy it there but the deal was just too good to pass since I was getting other stuff anyways so looking forward to it. Not sure where I'll /put/ it, heh, but yeah it'll be fun to have.

I chose Amazon for this too for the same reason. I have a Barnes & Noble membership and I thought I'd be getting a lot of 20% discount codes this year. It's still more expensive than Amazon even with the discounts though. Plus most of their discount offers I've been getting from them this year are only good for the actual stores, yet most of their items are cheaper on their site.

Amazon seems to be cheaper now. I've got an Amazon Prime account, but I might cancel it soon since I don't order from them every month.
