I would love a Freddy vs Jason 2.
It exists in comic book form. It was intended as a movie but it never happened.

It's called Freddy vs Jason vs Ash

There was also a follow-up called Freddy vs. Jason vs. Ash: Nightmare Warriors where they brought back almost every survivor from both the Nightmare and Ft13th franchises.

Found footage is always more hit than miss, especially when exorcism is involved. The market is flooded with them due to how cheap they are to make.

The best of that bunch is REC. A truly fantastic movie with decently established cannon fodder and an interesting origin of the virus itself that is briefly touched on.

In terms of modern horror, James Wan's work tends to be really good, if predictable.

Looking at his resume is hilarious. A bunch of horror franchises and Furious 7 and Aquaman snuck in there lol

Is the Exorcist scarrriest movie of all time? Anything close to it?

It depends on what you're looking for in your horror movie, and whether or not that taste changes over time. For instance, I thought the original IT was scary when I first saw it, but now I just find it a silly horror movie although I still love watching it for Tim Curry's off the wall performance as Pennywise.

Okay, but they need someone who has a love of the franchise, knows the movies, and can deliver a spine-tingling Jason tale. I'm still weary of BH getting licensed properties after the spectacular fuck-up that was Jem & The Holograms. How Halloween comes out will make or break this for me.

After the last plan to do just this fell through, I have zero confidence in Blumhouse pulling it off.

The rights is going back to New Line/Warner Bros. after Paramount's failure to make the reboot. They were almost close to filming last year and canceled. Only thing we got was the new Friday the 13th: The Game.

A Friday the 13th reboot/movie isn't hard to pull off. All the films are the same, Jason comes back, kills people, gets taken down. They're not complex, they're trashy slasher flicks. Hell, don't even reboot it just make a new one. The last reboot was barely that, it was just a Friday the 13th film.

But if they do make a new one, set it in the winter because I need to see Jason killing people in snowy environments.

Or go the route the Warwick Davis Leprechaun movies were taking after the second and send Jason to different environments like the Hood, Vegas, or back in time to the old west like the 7th film would have done if WWE hadn't shit all over the franchise with that unneeded (and having nothing to do with the Warwick Davis films in the slightest) reboot.

Well they did send Jason on a cruise and ended in Manhattan, so he got to travel some beyond going in space.

They need to put out the Five Nights at Freddy's movie first.

I feel like that movie would be terrible.

I'm personally not a fan of the new IT. Wonder if they would ever remake the Exorcist (with todays technology).

If done correctly, it won't be. Scott Cawthon had to restart production of it last year just to make sure it wasn't messed up.
