Elizabeth was behaving like such a drama queen. I also don't believe there has ever been a unanimous vote-off that huge. 12-1 is probably the biggest majority vote in the history of the entire series.

That was most likely my favorite tribal council of the season. Two idols were played and John clearly didn't see his vote-off coming. I'm really impressed with how well these contestants are playing. They are clearly not afraid to make big moves.

after that council, NOW the show is finally living up to the hype Probst bragged about before the start of the season

I'm loving this season so far. We have a really solid cast, with memorable players pre and post-merge, epic tribals (jacket-gate, the Elisabeth blow-up and now the double idol play), can't wait to see what happens next.

It was interesting to see the Goliath awareness of Christian's likely popularity with viewers. He definitely has a good chance of winning if he makes it to the end. Then again, he should be wearing the biggest target on his back at this point, lol.

I will say that I was sad to see John go. His Ponderosa video was actually pretty cool...

Another awesome tribal council happened in the last episode. For the first time an idol was nullified and that move sent Dan packing. The old members of the David tribe have truly found a way to beat those Goliaths who seemed unstoppable.

Alec being voted off really wasn't much of a surprise since he was such a challenge beast. As for what happened next, it seems that whenever there is a majority alliance, it will always have some cracks in it. Christian and Gabby decided to take out Carl with the last three original Goliath members. Looks like tomorrow that their alliance might be coming to end though.

Congrats to Nick on winning. Overall, it was an excellent season. It had such an entertaining group of participants and very few bad apples. A David did in fact overcome all of the Goliaths to become the champion.

sort of surprised Nick and Davie didn't try and get Angelina out right after she got the idol, given how close they were getting towards the end and it would have been a guaranteed spot for her at four if she kept it...

did they change up the method at the final four? The immunity holder chooses who to take and the other two automatically build fire now?

Yeah, it started a few seasons ago in Heroes vs Healers vs Hustlers.

Aside from the once again really late final jury vote, it was a good finale to a good season. Gotta say I was surprised
we've got another season of some returning players mixed with the new ones (Joe, Aubry, David Wright and Kelley Wentworth from my hometown, who I'll be rooting for.

"Edge of Extinction" just makes me think of the end of Dino Charge. >_>

I always wondered what would happen if Survivor and Disney would be like if they ever crossed paths. This is very well-done.

They saw Angelina as a goat that won't get jury votes. Maybe it would've been a good move to remove a roadblock for them, but she does have connections with Nick and a bit with Davie, forming a Final four alliance around F7. Angelina was ready to keep Davie to F5 and maybe F4, but Mike was connected to Alison hence tried to save her over Davie. Also apparently Angelina was OK in bringing Nick to the end.

It just makes me think of Redemption Island, which is not a good thing.

Plus, Jeff Probst has revealed the huge twist that is happening.

But what exactly is Edge of Extinction? EW went on location for filming in Fiji and got some scoop from host Jeff Probst on the latest wrinkle in the game. “Edge of Extinction is a new twist,” explains Probst. “There’s two elements to it. There’s the spiritual and there’s the gameplay. The gameplay is - you don’t know this, it’s a secret - but when you’re voted out, you’re going to leave Tribal and walk around the corner and finally come to this lighted torch with a signpost. And the signpost will say, ‘You have a decision to make. If you’re done playing and you want your adventure to end, keep walking. If, however, you want a chance to get back in the game, take the torch and get in the boat.’ That’s all you know.”

Probst says each individual that is voted out of the game will have to make a choice whether enough is enough. “So you’ve just been voted out and now you have this decision,” says the host. “Do you want to go into the unknown for a shot to get back in, or am I done? That’s the twist. That’s the premise. What they don’t know is what they will be going into. Where they’re going is Edge of Extinction. You will arrive at night in pitch black with a lighted torch to a beach. And the first person there will be the only person there. And that’s it.”

Probst promises that the living on Edge of Extinction will be anything but easy. “Everything you do will require way more effort than you were doing back on that thing that you thought was tough called Survivor. And you’re doing it all on the idea that you have a shot to get back in.”
Survivor host Jeff Probst explains Edge of Extinction twist

The Manu tribe seems clearly divided. I know it's early, but I don't know if Audrey, Joe, David or Kelly will be able to do what Stephenie Lagrossa, Boston Rob, Coach Wade, Mike Skupin were able to do. Each of them were able to reach the final tribal council in a season that was mostly consisted of newbies. Rob was the only one of those people to win. The four returning players have huge targets on their backs right now. I am curious to see how this Extinction Island twist plays out.

My Direct TV wasn't in the best shape, so I was having quite a few problems watching the episode. I was able to see Keith being voted off just before another interruption happened. They left us on an interesting little cliffhanger. Tomorrow, we finally know what decision Keith is going to make.

I thought the episodes were Chris and Rick got blindsided were enjoyable. Last week, I kept saying to TV, "Aubry, use your idol! You're in danger!" However, she made a mistake and was sent to the Edge if Extinction. I can't wait for tomorrow's episode because no only does the merge happen, but we are also going to find out who gets back into the game.

what an odd episode...

from the cold opening with the merge and then the edge-of-extinction players who decided to continue in the game then all of a sudden changing their mind and getting out...

seems like there was way more footage to show than fit within the episode length

Those were my thoughts exactly. During a post-show interview Keith said that when he got back to the Edge of Extinction, everything was still the same and he just didn't feel like being there anymore. Wendy said that she felt she had accomplished everything she needed to.

That was a great blindside in Wednesday night. It just goes to show that a majority alliance isn't always in harmony. Plus, big moves need to be made on the ones who in control and who don't plan on taking you to the end.
