Not happening. There's a reason why Sentai is "the franchise with female heroes" and why Sun Vulcan had a huge deal when they didn't have one. (despite the strong female roles in it regardless)

We already have a rumors/speculations thread for the next Sentai? Was it also this early last year?

Nah, we're already halfway through Lupato. The distributors meeting where the toy catalogs are leaked happens in the first week of December. If they hadn't started planning the shows yet, that means they would have roughly three and a half months to do focus group tests, come up with designs, work them into practical suits, get people cast, etc. Rumors and leaks kinda follow the same schedule just because there are so many hands involved that at least one of them is bound to leak. |

Given we normally get the trademark around september, no, it's not early. And like has been said above, the show will have been in pre-production for a long time now.

Yes. Usually around episode 35 we should have a trademark.

Out of all those rumors I like the Yokai/monsters/gods rumor the best but I would also like the RPG idea if it gets made.
As for colors I'll admit I would at least think it was interesting if they had it where Blue, and Green or Black where the girls, and Yellow, and Pink or at least White were the men besides Red but I'm just throwing stuff at walls. |

Doubt it and it's already been done with Sun Vulcan, so don't except another Sentai team with no females happening at all. Last edited by AdrenalineRush; August 13th, 2018 at 11:26 PM. |

I have a strong feeling Shirubaa is just playing around.
![]() Anyway, time flies, doesn't it? It wasn't only until recently you felt the trademark for Lupinranger VS Patranger came up, and LOTS of posters here are like "what in the world?" seeing two teams being in the title. Will it be two different series aired in a single year? Will the teams alternate "shows" every other week? Will the first half be focused on one team, and will the other team be the other? How long will it take before they inevitably become one team? Now we are over the half-point of the show, it does seem time to know what's coming up next. With the news that this season's toys aren't selling as well this year, I wonder if they're going to play safe this time. I do hope we have more unique color combinations, like a female black and a female green (with primary color guys). If it is based on RPG I guess you could say they would've used up that trope for a long while haha. I think what we have learned this year is that auxiliary gimmicks does help boost sales. The gimmick being the Zords is great, but I do agree something more to add to it could've boosted the sales (like have the collection pieces be contained on something as special collectibles). The dependence on GoodStriker may have an effect on the sales too and the Zord designs have been a bit basic that maybe a bit more out there, livelier design in mecha will be welcome. I like the versatility of KyuRenOh so I hope they will have it again. |

I hope I wasn't the guy who asked if it was this early last year as well. Haha.
That said, I've always been Team Wait-and-See. Especially after ToQger. Man, those costumes were hideous, but it's one of my favorite Sentai seasons. |

Nanami Nono (Hurricane Blue) - For being the only Female Ranger on her team, Nanami certainly had a presence on her season and carried her own. Nanami has also been featured on anniversary episodes, the Hurricaneger 10 Years special, and Hero Mama Squad. For me she is one of the most prominent Sentai members that has been used again and again, if not the most of all the female members of Sentai. Saki Royama (Go-On Yellow) - Saki for me is my favorite Sentai member of all time. Not only do I love her spunk and drive, she also is funny, and I love her interaction with the boys of her team. She has also appeared in a fair number of Sentai episodes outside of her own season, including the Gokaiger movie where she appeared as a member of G3 Princess. Ran Uzaki (Geki Yellow) - Tough as nails and the leader of the Gekirangers, Ran was an awesome team member and a master of her Cheetah skills. She also had growth during her season, becoming more loose and happy as she learned her Elephant and Penguin skills. One of the best parts of her season. I could continue my list forever (Luka, Mako, Kagura, etc) , but these are the three that stand out the most for me. The assertion that female members of Sentai need to be cut out and make it a full sausage fest is insulting at best both to little girls who can be inspired by these characters who are more than just "pretty" and the Sentai fandom in general. |

I have currently two theme that I'd like to see, the first one is a shogi themed Super Sentai, the second one is a RPG Isekai Super Sentai.
Kyuranger have almost done my first wished Super Sentai. Shogi seems nice and can mirror Shinkenger in a way. |

With the boom of Isekai and the success of Kyuranger, I wouldn't be surprised if non-Earth based stories have become safer bets. We've never had a season where a human team was pulled into a fictional universe against their will and spends the entire season trying to get back home to Earth. We've had several seasons like Ginga, Time, Gosei and Zyuoh give us foreign teams trapped here. Flashman gave something of the reverse. But nothing like a human team born and raised today, completely cut off from our familiar world and has to adapt to terra incognita.
Earth Rangers who defend Earth was the long running standard but seems more flexible these years. Yanking a team away from Earth completely would be a nice challenge. How could the writing preserve the importance of Earth to Super Sentai using only the team's memories and what few objects they had on them in a bizarre place where nobody knows them? |
