I don't know if the Gao animals would look good in minipla form. The DX versions had this nice shine to them

The GAO were... respectable for their time. Sticker heavy sure. But there is substantial promise if they go the super route

Rhino had good articulation for that time though in leg form

Yeah that's what I feared. The stickers made it look worse in early minipla version. Look at that lion.

I just watched a video of the minipla X-Emperor, followed by the minipla X-Changer (which was horrid btw) but what the reviewer didn't show was whether the X-Emperor can also function as an X-Changer like the DX. Can anyone shed some light?

No it can't unfortunately. X-Trains Gold and Silver lack the holes to connect the rear pegs. I've seen images of someone having drilled holes to allow this as that's all that's missing, but the changer isn't possible with the kit straight out of the box.

The Super Mini-Pla Go-Lion arrived this afternoon. I haven't had a chance to start working on it but I'm surprised at the size of the box. It's a lot bigger than I was expecting.

I bought all 3 Zyuranger sets at PMC, but I havenít put them together yet because Iíve been experiencing blurry vision lately and it hasnít gotten better yet, and I donít want to accidentally snip a piece off the tree and potentially mess it up. So Iíll hwve to wait to put them together...😕

Hopefully this get better before Muteki Shogun gets here next month...

I'm about halfway through building Voltron. The black lion is surprisingly complex. It replicates a lot of the functionality from the full-sized version and just genuinely looks very nice. The neck looks a bit weird from certain angles, but it does allow for some really nice posing options in cat and robot form.

Something I didn't know, though, is that the Red and Green lions include two different lion heads. Larger heads and smaller heads that can be swapped around. I think that's a really cool feature.

Black Lion took about an hour to put together. Red and Green just over 30 minutes each.

For the 4,000 yen Amazon Japan is asking for this set, it's a freaking steal.

Finished building the set. All things considered, it really is a very nice kit. It holds together nicely and you can get some great poses out of the combined robot. Including toy and animation-accurate Lion heads was a nice touch. The combined mode *does* leave you with a huge pile of unused heads, legs, and tails, but it's worth it for a good looking Voltron figure that you don't have to worry about breaking like certain others I could mention.

Just finished the Dragonzord. Took me about 4 hours but it's fantastic! Really happy. I have Megazord and Titanus to do also so need to find some more time!

Titanus is a really quick build. But I think it takes longer to get the stickers on than to get the thing built.

Decals... ughhhhh.... the worst part. But at least I know I can do it I suppose with plenty of time.

Heres images of what I've built so far in the last 24 hours.

Just look at the Dragonzord Battlemode pose!!

A good Gundam Marker works wonders on these things.

Well this stings. I was hoping it would be the beginning of September. Looks like Muteki mini pla is mid September? I just want to get my hands on this thing!

Odd. Why does it say 1,100 yen? That's like 12 dollars. AmiAmi has it for 5,180 yen

(and I finally see LATE SEPTEMBER on the amiami page.
