I think a great way to credibly pull off a Toy Story 4 would be to set it in the "imagination" world. So Buzz could actually fly and shoot lasers, Rex would be an actual dinosaur, Hamm would be Evil Dr. Porkchop, etc.
Pretty much this. I just don't think they can come up with any more credible challenges for the gang. Now i read its going to be a love story? God no god NNNOOOOOOO!!!!

Bo Peep is long gone. Woody will probably find a new girlfriend.

Woody finds love with G.I. Joe. They can call it Brokeback Toy Story.

Sort of with Mastadan on this: as much as it is about the toys, the Toy Story franchise has always been about the humans, even if its tangential. Personally I think that the first Toy Story is always my favorite because of the story, truly being about being a family as well as being there for Andy, the kid who is going to play with them and worry about them. The second and third added more but sometimes I think that the more it just becomes about the toys and not about their interaction with humans, the more it just becomes shallow; it can still be funny but the heart involves their relationship with the greater world they exist in as much as the world they themselves exist within.

Josh Cooely, the head story writer for Pixar's Inside Out, has joined the film as co-director.

Not sure if anyone was expecting anything spectacularly different, but w.e.

Meanwhile look at all 'dem live action reboots...and the MCU movies...

Wait when the hell did Disney become involved with that Ghost in the Shell movie?! Which also means that movie is definitely not rising above a PG-13...FUCK.

I was expecting a subtitle myself, though these early logos tend to change so I'm still half expecting that. Few followups use the number 4.

Huh. Is this a real thing? Because Toy Story 4 is the thing I'm not entirely paying attention to.

Pete's Dragon? Ghost in the Shell? Bridge of Spies? The Finest Hours? Something called BFG?

I realize you're probably joking Primo but anyways:

BFG, or Big Friendly Giant, is one of the works of Roald Dahl, aka the man that brought us Charile and the Chocolate Factory, James and the Giant Peach, Matilda, and The Fantastic Adventures of Mr Fox. It's considered to be, among may other of his works, a classic children's story of the 20th century.

...even though I personally never read it.

BFG is the book I will always remember Dahl for. It is the Dahlest of Roald Dahl books, I think. I am excited to see it made into a movie but also incredibly suspicious of it's quality.

There better be a post credit scene of a bum falling in a hole and getting eaten.

Ah I see. Never heard of that particular Dahl book before. Dahl movie adaptations have ranged from average to good, so I may end up watching this BFG too.

By the way I took a second look at Ghost in the Shell. Why is a Dreamworks movie part of a Disney movie schedule?

The Ghost in the Shell movie is also being released through Touchstone Pictures, which is owned by Disney. Which may I remind you, is the production company that Disney works through when it comes to releasing their...not-so family friendly films.

There's also how Dreamworks technically owns the rights to make a live action Ghost in the Shell movie. Why they're working with a subsidiary that is owned by one of their rivals, I don't know.

But given the problems at Dreamworks right now, it could be that they didn't have a choice, and apparently someone high up really wants a Ghost in the Shell movie to be released.

Looking over that schedule something came to mind... are those Narnia movies done?

The Narnia movies are still happening supposedly, the silver chair anyway, but probably not with Disney. They dropped them for the last one already, so I assume they'll stay away from the next ones too. They haven't officially announced who will finance it though.

Edit: I just looked it up, its supposed to be coming next year.
