Wow, Pixar really has run out of ideas. Sad.

No,no,no,no, no! Toy Story 3 was one of the best finales of anything, period. Don't ruin a basically perfect ending. Keep the little holiday specials and shorts, but there's no need to continue the story on the big screen other than a quick cash grab.

If they have to a continuation of this, show us an adventure with Andy and keep the toys in their own shorts. Since most of Pixar's movies are probably in the universe, have a movie about Andy taking a break from college and traveling, meeting various characters from the Pixarverse.

Maybe he gets caught up with an Incredibles adventure before he has a meal at Rataoullie's restaurant. Then he gets tangled up with one of Carl's antics before moving on to having to babysit Boo.

Toy Story 4

I think a 4th installment of Toy Story would be cool. Pixar did a good job with recreating the moment of Ken meeting Barbie for the first time

John is saying It'll be a love story.
Lasseter told The Times that “Toy Story 4″ will be a love story and will pick up where “Toy Story 3″ left off, when Woody, Buzz Lightyear and the rest of the series’ toy chest of characters were handed down to a little girl named Bonnie.
http://pixartimes.com/2014/11/06/toy...-more-details/

Looks like that means that it's a sequel and not a prequel.

Edit: how about this: love triangle, Bo Peep, Jessie, and Buzz. Maybe we find out that Bonnie's mom was the "new owner" Woody mentioned Bo going to in the third movie. By the end Buzz realizes he really loves Jessie and Bo gets back with Woody after having a fight before all of this.

That does it. We've officially entered Crazy Town, population Pixar Studios.

I don't know how to feel about this. Like many others, Toy Story was a huge part of my childhood. But I also felt that Toy Story 3 was the absolute best way to wrap things up.

2017 would be 22 years after the first film was released. This could end up being a mistake.

Lol...Why part 4? The trilogy ended perfectly with everyone moving on. Who asked for this?

I really don't see how that relevant. The only negative affect time has on animated sequels is how much the cast sound like themselves. We've really only had to replace one so far and Blake Clark does great as slink.

Topping it isn't the issue, the issue is how do you CONTINUE the story? Unnecessary sequel is unnecessary. That's all there is to it.
That's what I also thought about the last 2 Toy Story films… and yet Pixar proved they could come up with something. Aside from Cars 2, i'm giving Pixar the benefit of the doubt. They earned it.

Ok, Toy Story 3 is the last film for me. Good luck, Pixar.

Really sick of Pixar's recent sequels. Usually they just wind up devaluing the original film.
Besides Cars 2, and Cars 1 for that matter, Pixar's sequels have all been fun movies.

Or they had one so good they had to bring Toy Story back for a fourth time.

Honestly, while I liked the first Cars alright, it's pretty low on my Pixar movie rankings, and even though I haven't seen the sequel or the spinoff, those things being lackluster doesn't really surprise me.

Toy Story, on the other hand, has consistently been amazing, and so I'm willing to hold on to hope, and even though I'm a little skeptical, I'll give it the benefit of the doubt. I wasn't expecting to like Monsters University but ended up enjoying it.

Cars is a love-it-or-hate-it movie.I liked the first film, but had no desire to see the sequel.

It seems like Pixar is starting to slip in quality while Disney has been kicking ass as of late(Wreck-It Ralph and Frozen)

I'll laugh if this turns out to be a great movie.
But seriously I don't mind this being made, I'm interested in seeing how it turns out.

I don't mind this. With every Toy Story film the time has been taken to craft great movies. And the shorts prove there is still interest and demand for these characters.

What bums me out is that it has been 10 years and still no Incredibles 2 despite the non-stop assault of superhero films.
