How do you guys get them to hold weapons? Mine are always falling out of their hands cause of the weight.

Depends on the grade. Most HG models have hand molds that are supposed to surround the handles, so in those cases I've never had to worry. On MG models, it varies how they implement hands, but the only time I've had an issue is my RX-78-2 MG Ver 3.0 and his shield, because the shield seems to be the only piece that doesn't have the tab system they built into the hands, and there's no other way for the shield to attach to his arm.

A bit of a bump, just to say that GSAM now has the Builder Parts set in stock with the katana, sheath, and missile pod. Just ordered two sets, though I don't even have a kit at the moment I want to use the katanas with. I'm not even sure what kit to order. At this point, I might detail them slightly and give them either to my HG Tallgeese or my HG Aile Strike.

Recently spent 10 days in Japan on a student ambassador trip... But that doesn't mean I don't get to nerd out. Last day we were day we went to Akihabara (which by the way isn't the weeblord center that is praised in Anime/Manga and Japanese Media), I stopped by AsoBitCity and picked up MG Astray and MG Strike Freedom for about 3500 Yen (~$35.00 USD) each. The MG RX-93 Nu Katoki was 6700 Yen (~$67.00 USD) at TRU but was only 4900 Yen (~$49.00 USD) at ABC. Sengoku and RG Freedom were purchased at a shop in Asakusa for 1900 Yen (~$19.00 USD) each. Should've bought an MG Banshee in Japan because they were asking only 3500 Yen, where here it was $105.99 USD. Freedom ones are for my dad. The rest is mine. Here's a pic of the haul.

Finished Astray Red Frame and a gunpla stand yesterday, stupid auto-iso features make it look really grainy though.

Probably gonna start Rx-93 Nu tomorrow.

Also first post in forever.

So, my katana and missile pack kits arrived this afternoon...

For those not aware but are intending to order, each set comes with not only two missile packs but also two katanas. I really only wanted two, but I'm pleasantly surprised to actually have four, so I can experiment with paint applications without ruining two for my first custom.

Just bought my first gunpla in years, the Wing Gundam Fenice! I'm really excited to start building it.

I almost picked one of those up a few days ago at Barnes and Noble, but changed my mind, and thankfully I did because my wife called before I left to ask me to pick up other stuff that would've thrown my budget off if I had picked up the kit.

I need a little advise regarding panel lining and top coating. I heard that some matte finishes can absorb ink/paint in the lining and ruin a kit, and was wondering if Sakura Micron pens can work with Krylon Matte Finish or not.

Ugh...On one hand, I really like the design of the Unicorn (though honestly, not as much as the Sinanju) and I really do want to make a leap to PGs. But on the other hand, I haven't even had the time lately to finish my MG Wing Gundam Proto Zero, and my wife would kill me for spending PG-level money on a kit.

So uh... got this tonight.

It's used, but I did get to look inside. Someone started it, only had one portion of the leg put together... otherwise, in really good condition. It was marked at $70, but because I asked about them about if they could confirm it was complete they marked it down to $50 since the guy that purchased it for the store wasn't there.

I'm not going to complain, I've been wanting this for a long time and I couldn't leave it for that price.

I never get this lucky... ever. I did check out the contents, everything looks good. More was put together than I thought. Both feet and look like either the red portions of the legs or arms... some floating pieces here and there, but shouldn't be a problem.

First Gundam model in almost 10 years.

Like I mentioned, I've wanted this version for quite awhile and I kept putting it off. Then the price got really high. I know I got a steal.

Oh and I saw how much Vintage Stock paid out for it. They looked it up when choosing the price I would pay... I saw the screen... $17.50! They only paid a trade of $17.50!! That about made me choke.

Well there was a problem and it seems it was a packaging error.

I ended up with 4 L trees and should of only had 2... meaning? That means there are 2 M trees missing. So pretty much junk at this point. I'll get my money back, but there's also a site that tries to find missing parts. I gave them a shout to see if they can do something at least. More than likely they won't... which is too bad, it's a beautiful Gundam, and I was looking really forward to putting it together. Oh well.
