I pre-ordered Detective Pikachu on Amazon over the weekend, and this morning, they have an estimated delivery date, but one that doesn't make sense. June 3. Which doesn't make sense for two reasons. One, that's a Monday. Everyone knows new Blu-Rays are released on Tuesday, with some rarely releasing on a Friday. And two, that's less than a month away. Considering how well it did at the box office this weekend, bringing it out on Blu-Ray less than a month after release makes no sense. The only big name film I can think of that had such a narrow window between theater and home media was Once Upon A Deadpool, but that was a limited, edited re-release of a movie that was already available on Blu-Ray. I would suspect August 13, at the earliest, for a proper Blu-ray Release Date.
Yeah, I really doubt the film will be out on Blu-ray next month.

A few sites, not just amazon, have it for pre-order for June 3rd, so it might be real?

I feel like the company sent out the wrong date to the sites or something though, cause releasing it on DVD/Blu Ray less than a month after it was released in theaters seems... weird.

---

That said, it didn't make as much as people expected, it's barely made a profit so far, and although it will make more over the coming weeks, they probably figure the hype will die down if they do the typical DVD/Blu Ray release, and wait a few months.

So they might be pushing it out so early because they want to cash in on the hype while it's still out there.

Crystal Onix
...Crystal Onix is canon though?

https://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/Crystal_Onix

I mean, not in the games, but it is canon in the Pokemon World.

---

Based on what we know now, it's likely a regional variant of Onix, like an Orange Onix, (like Alolan Form, just Orange Island Form), and likely Ice Type, since it was weak to Fire.

Another TR Filler

- TR is finally getting their punishment for lying;

- What on Earth is Pikachu and Eevee playing? Right in the morning, in front of everyone? Pikachu/Eevee shippers must be going wild right now;

- They are still on that whole thing of hyping all kids having Z-rings? We are almost on Generation 8 and NOW the writting is bothering to promote that stuff?;

- Jessie finally triest to catch Bewaer. Guess it's better said than done;

- Even Giovanni's secretary is impressed with Bewaer strenght. If TR had spent the forces they did with Pikachu on Bewear, they'd probably get the promotion and praise they wanted so much;

- And once again, all TR thinks is about Ash's pokémon. Well, at least this time they are recognizing that Ash has a mythical (Meltan) and a rare evolution (Dusk Lycanroc) besides Pikachu. Wish Poipole could have been there so things could escalate more haha;

- Guess that after so many years, TR finally figured out messing with the twerps means being blasted off;

- Ash blast offs TR... And he didn't even intended this time!;

- Guess Giovanni's secretary finally got a taste of a blast off;

- Now, it's a taste of Bewear's meddling;

- Stufull is kidnapped. Well, at least it was for a reasonable reasons given it evolves to Bewear AND it's related to that abnormal Bewear;

- So... TR does good by tricking that secretary;

- Bewear pulls an epic save for Meowth. Guess it figured the whole thing and wants to retribute they risking themselves for her offspring;

- Guess we won't hear from that secretary for a while... Specially after that demonstration of strenght.

Overall, passable episode specially considering it's so focused on TR. It's interesting that their relationship with Bewear seems to have evolved somewhat, yet I can't help but think what they'll come up with to justify Bewear letting them go after the series is done. Best theory I could come up with is the Team Skull grunts replacing that. Like Bewear lets TR go after they make a speech about what catching Pikachu means to them and then for some reason, Bewaer gets the Skull trio as their next victims guests.

Next time: Kiawe helps Sophocles to master his Z-move.

To be specific, it says it's a "movie exclusive".

It's the same terminology as when Sentai movie mecha are "movie exclusive."

Doesn't have anything to do with the games; it does mean that the form is probably not showing up in the anime series though.
Yeah, if anything it could disprove the whole Armor Evolution rumor thing.

To be honest, I hope that's indeed the case. I'd much rather new megas than another power up evo.

Same here. The original is so much better.

Plus there is now apparently concept for an evolution to raichu
Not quite. What was said is that Raichu was meant to have an evolution called Gorochu but they've scrapped the idea. I there was an article with a interview with the staff where they mentioned they just intended to do it and had some ideas for the design but didn't actually make a concept art.

Let us hope Paramount never gets to make Detective Pikachu 2.

Kind of want Sword & Shield to acknowledge that England kind of sucked in the past. Maybe an extremely dirty place filled with Muk and Garbodor.

Eh, I'd throw in Bisharps and Klingklangs with Grass types to hide all the foul smells.

Wouldn't it be mostly Grimer and Trubbish? Muk and Garbodor are evolutions and should be rare in the wild.

Well, Bisharp could be a reference to Jack the Ripper. So that could work.

Detective Pikachu 2 was confirmed back in January though: https://www.hollywoodreporter.com/he...-works-1179211

It was even reported in this thread, if I recall?

Is Comicbook.com really that slow? O_o
