Premier League
1 Chelsea
2 Manchester United
3 Manchester City
4 Arsenal

18 Leicester
19 Norwich
20 Watford

I expect it to be much closer between the top four this season. As for the bottom, I think Bournemouth will be this season's surprise package

1. Man City
2. Chelsea
3. Man United
4. Arsenal

I don't expect any huge changes in the top four. United's made some great signings over the summer but I think it'll take about a season or so for them to find their place and Sterling is going to do wonders for City.

Relegated

18. Watford
19. Bournermouth
20. Sunderland

Sunderland probably won't be able to escape this coming season in the way they did last season, too many things fell into position for that to happen.

On a personal note, I'm hoping Southampton can snag at least a top five finish this year, but knowing what tends to happen to teams with Europa experience, I'll be happy with a top 8 finish.

Only thing I shall predict is Chelsea winning it as they don't need really any work done to the squad, not sure about what I think for the rest of the top 4, I'm not sure how well Sterling will do for Man City and Delph is just filling in the English player quota.

Man Utd have bought wisely so far I might put a few quid on em to win it since it's wouldn't be a huge loss, Arsenal with Cech in goal will be a lot more formidable, but until they make a few wise transfers can't see them winning it.

Watford and Sunderland will go down in my opinion and unfortunately Norwich will probably join em which is a shame as I love that city, visit there sometimes when I'm down there on my hols, I hope Bournemouth stay up. I'd love it Liverpool did worse than last season and Southampton secure a 5th place finish at least.

All in all I reckon it will be a very good season.

So this Gerrard guy already lives up to expectations for the LA Galaxy.

Thanks, Great Britain!

Well he has past his prime years but still is a serviceable midfielder. I feel he should have stayed at his former club Liverpool, but unfortunately they were ready to move on.

It seems like players who have past there prime years are heading to the MLS to enjoy time in the states and also to give some recognition to soccer in the states. Gerrard, David Beckham, Thierry Henry and Frank Lampard are a few examples that have made the move to the MLS.

I know I'm not exactly neutral when it comes to Liverpool but I think this could be a difficult season for them. With Gerrard gone I can't see where there leadership is going to come from. They could struggle for goals too with Sterling gone and Sturridge spending more time injured than playing

I don't think Gerrard been gone will be too bad for them he was a bit of a liability last season at times, think Henderson will do alright for them as captain, do agree about struggling for goals, there aren't a lot of top class strikers available in the market and those who are aren't gonna want to not play Champions League football. If Sturridge stays fit they might do ok, and Danny Ings might do good for them as well.

I see them struggling as well losing Sterling and Gerrard in a single off-season is huge. In addition, off and on again Sturridge doesn't help them either. Players like Henderson and Coutinho could be there bright spots. Milner may also be a good addition, I enjoy his workhorse mentality. I'm not sure but aren't Liverpool still interested in Benteke, he can be a help up front for them.

Yeah not only are they interested but according to the BBC they've put a bid in for him triggering the 32.5 million release clause in his contract, he'll improve Liverpool I reckon, be a massive blow to Villa though losing both Delph and Benteke.

Ok, I knew I read that they were interested just wasn't sure if they were still pursuing him. Benteke would definitely improve Liverpool but also it would be another huge loss for Aston Villa as you mentioned.

He would be an improvement no doubt, but I just can't really see them been able to reach the top 4, I put them on a similar level to Spurs and if they play as well as last season Southampton, losing Suarez was too much of a blow that they couldn't replace, not to mention if Swansea and Stoke keep improving, it'll be a challenge to get any form of European qualification, though that does make the league more entertaining.

Brendan Rodgers said in the past couple of days that any player would want to play for Liverpool and I agree with him, they do have a very rich history, but only if they were consistently in the Champions League, which it seems that last season was a one off been there.

All the football talk is getting me hyped for the new season, bring on the 8th.

Barcelona have lost to both Chelsea and Man Utd in friendlies the last couple of days. Utd beat them 3-1 and Chelsea drew 2-2 and won in a shootout.

Utd play PSG tonight, so I expect Di Maria to be away by Monday since the two teams reps will be together.

As far as United fans are concerned, we're done with Di Maria. He hasn't even been at the club for a year and because he's found it tough he decides he wants out? PSG are welcome to him

Two EPL teams took place in the Europa league today, West Ham tied 2-2 while Southampton managed to come out and score a 3-0 victory.

Great news

DiMaria, thats a shame, he IS a great player who had a bad season. But his conduct is unforgiving and there is no way back for him.

In case you don't know, he told his club (Man Utd) he would be on a plane to America to join up with the team in pre-season after being given an extended break due to playing in the Coppa America.

He then instead flew to where PSG were based in America on tour instead, without permission and now has not been answering the phone to anyone at Utd. The Utd manager has said no one knows where he is.

Wow, talk about unprofessional. Well he is close to going to PSG anyways so works out for him.
