Tomorrow sees the traditional curtain raiser to the season, the Community Shield between Chelsea and Arsenal. Given Mourinho's record against Wenger (Played 13 Lost 0) I can only see one winner

It'll be a tight game I reckon, I have a feeling Arsenal might pull it off in the end, still loved Mourinho's comments in response to Benitez' wife, fabulous comeback.

The way Chelsea has played this preseason that may change. I'm hoping for a Chelsea win but I wouldn't be surprised if we lose as we haven't been impressive this preseason. Also besides the Mourinho vs Wenger storyline, we do have the Peter Cech matchup against his former club Chelsea. I'm sure he will be playing to prove a point tomorrow.

Well pre-season isn't really anything to go by really, suppose if you lose tomorrow, it won't be all bad as most certainly you'll be favorites for the league, which I reckon will be the case, hopefully United will be close at least in the running at the end of it. I predict a 2-1 Arsenal win tomorrow.

Well it was 1-0 Arsenal in the end, Oxlade-Chamberlain with the goal. Wenger finally gets a first win over Mourinho at the 14th attempt

Mourinho and Wenger both seemed childish after the game. Wenger didn't even look Mourinho's way for a handshake. I honestly thought they would at least shake hands or acknowledge each other but they didn't even do that. Reminds me of when Shaq and Kobe were avoiding each other after the Lakers traded Shaq in the mid 2000s.

First day of the season has come and gone and we had some interesting matches. Nothing too outstanding, but there were a few points of interest. Chelsea squander a couple of leads them to a 2-2 draw against Swansea, with a red card probably helping Swansea. None of the newly promoted teams did fantastic but Watford managed an impressive 2-2 tie against Everton after an early lead.

Stand out game for me was Leicester vs Sunderland. The Foxes came out of nowhere and managed to get 3-0 up before eventually winning 4-2 and at the moment they're top of the table.

Regardless, it's great to have regular games again.

Swansea came out to ready to play against Chelsea. A really tough draw for Chelsea who I'm sure many Chelsea fans including myself are a bit distraught with the result. Now Courtois may miss a game or two with the red card. With Manchester United winning and Liverpool, Arsenal and Manchester City yet to play, Chelsea should be worried.

Watford vs Everton was also very entertaining, I'm happy to see a championship side play so well in their opening game.

Welcome back Premier League!!!

Which Gary Lineker took great delight in when closing Match of the Day.

Man Utd only won thanks to an own goal. At least the keeper had a clean sheet thus justifying dropping De Gea.

A win is a win, even if its an own goal, it's still a goal more than the opposition scored

It wasn't pretty yesterday for United but a win is a win. Three games today- Arsenal v West Ham, Newcastle v Southampton and Stoke v Liverpool.

As for Chelsea, I wouldn't worry too much when there are still 37 games to play

Great news for American viewers,

The Premiere League has renewed their deal with NBC Sports for 6 years.

Looks like Chelsea's team doctor is losing her role on the bench after this past weekend's incident.

Does seem an over reaction. Yes she was a bit quick to run onto the pitch but is it really worth losing her place on the bench for?

Yea I agree but I heard this has been escalating since the off-season.

Please someone tell me what is wrong with Chelsea?!?! Since pre-season we have looked deadfully awful, today against Manchester City really showed it. We need help all over the pitch, our backline is slow, we need another strong anchor with Matic in the midfield and we lack scoring threats. Yes it's just the early part of the season but going down this early in the Premier League is dangerous as we saw last season when we held a huge lead in the table early on.

3-0 was a fair scoreline, City were superior in every department today. To think, Aguero missed 4 chances before he scored

Another Chelsea loss. It's been said we shouldn't panic but we are so off of the top 4 that now I'm worried Chelsea may not make it to next year's champions league. Unless we win the champions league which I don't see happening, we better get out our act together and quickly.

That goal by Iheanacho from City was unexpected, one of the most intense game I've seen this season so far, Crystal Palace's defense was on-point. Was expecting a draw, nil-nil but imagine swapping Bony for Iheanacho at the 90th minute, walks into the pitch and scores a goal, wow! I gotta admit, Manchester City's off to a really good start, clean sheet, 5 wins.

Chelsea was...wow. What happened to them? With that said...the table may turn this week with Champion's League starting, it took David Silva and Raheem Sterling off the game this week anyway.

Needless to say I'm delighted with United's 3-1 win over Liverpool. Great to see Anthony Martial score on his debut
