It's neat, but I looking at the belt again, I feel like they coulda built the projector into the belt itself rather then making a separate thing.

Yeah but you think they could put a light bright enough into the small area I can see the only place to put it. Though it would have been really cool if they figured it out.

According to the blog post, they did consider placing the projector in the belt, but seemingly there were two main issues with this: 1) the quality and sharpness of the image would've had to have been a lot lower than what the separate projector can provide, and 2) if you tried to mimic the action of "running through" the card to transform, then obviously the projector on the belt will move along with you - the card image would shrink smaller and smaller the closer you got to it.

I figure the light would require its own power to pull this trick off. Now to figure out what else went into that pricing

Well if you really want to break down the price you could start by considering the difference between the full set and the Buckle/Absorber set. For the BlayRouser, it’s holster, the Jack Form blade, and the additional 32 cards it adds 25,000 yen (~$238) to the price tag. So you could consider the BlayRouser to be around 18,600 yen, which is comparable to the Tamashii Lab Revolcane which cost 19,500 yen with its display stand, while the cards at 200 yen a piece make 6,400 yen.

Now for the Buckle and Absorber you could break down the 25,000 yen price for the set as about 15,200 yen for the belt itself, with the 4 cards adding to 800 yen, 3,000 yen for the projector, and 6,000 yen for the RouseAbsorber with its all new mold, two plates and a Garren Jack Form sound to go with a potential future release. So the belt itself lines up pretty closely to the earlier Dx based CSMs, which ranged between 13,000 yen and 15,000 yen, considering it has both a BGM and voice line button and can wirelessly activate the projector in time with the henshin.

So, just to clarify, the Blay Buckle is not a CS style belt, but rather another DX mod?

Yes, since there was no previous CS of it to base on, they used the Dx mold like they did with most of the other CSM releases.

Remember CS and CSM aren't the same things. If they don't have the molds from belts released as CS they're the DX belts unless otherwised stated. Why they put the modification in the name.

I just thought that they were following the principle that all shows pre-Kabuto used prop belt, not a DX toy with added details.

For example, in Ryuki the V-Buckle is the same size when Shinji is untransformed and after transformation, and then in Zi-O Sougo equips the toy size belt and after transformation is magically enlarges.

Like I said it comes down to the name. If they have the molds like the V-Buckle they will use them. However when they don't it just the DX version of the toy modified. Again they added the modification to the name to signify this aspect that they're just modifying the toys.

The only exception to the aspect of reusing the CS mold being Den-O, due to them wanting to add the K-Taros, which there was no CS equivalent, and also like christopherjohn said, that was when they started using the Dx as a base for the prehenshin prop, so in a way it was in scale with the show. They still modified the mold slightly to add details and make it as show accurate as possible.

The only original CS’s they haven’t redone are Ichigo, Orga, and Hibiki, so everything from now on except those should be Dx based.

Dammit, Hibiki needs a release. The CS is insane.

Give me Hibiki and Kiva and I’ll be in heaven.

More details revealed about the features of the RouseAbsorber.

https://www.b-boys.jp/series/rider/topics/detail/727/

Turn out there is a Garren Mode switch on the back, that way you can mimic the show accurate Jack Form transformation by swiping the cards with no plate set.

Also there’s a Joker Transformation sound that plays after changing into King Form 13 times. There’s also a matching sound in the BlayBuckle so using them together you can replicate the scene from the end of the show.

If you switch to Garren Mode while the King Form plate is loaded it activates a Leangle King Form mode. After switching to the mode you remove the plate then use the cards and it’ll activate Leangle’s failed King Form sound and an Ace Seperation sound.

Never underestimate the power level of the fandom.
Twitter user @Mikuru_2525 bought 16 CSM V-Buckles. 😆

With a current display like this though, that's perhaps not so surprising.

Now that's dedication.

Find an oval shaped plastic trash can and add some screws to support the belt

That is just...Wow.
That may be the most insane Toku purchase I have ever seen.

More details about the BlayBuckle:

There’s a Decade Mode similar to the one added to the Arcle. It plays two different transformation sounds, including the direct to King Form transformation from episode 31 of Decade, as well as voice lines.

There’s also a special mode where you can control for how long the projection is up, and only when you hit the voice line button will it play the “passing through the projection” sound and turn off the projection. To recreate scenes where it was up for an extended period of time.

Ahh, thanks for the clarification on that second part, RiderFan. I'd read about that on the blog but Google Translate wasn't really helping to make it clear - I didn't have a clue what it was trying to tell me!
