Here are the Top 10 best changes from the animated movies that the live-action films had made. I know that Cinderella and the Prince meeting before the ball was great, but I'm surprised that they didn't mention that the Prince get character development when he had none in the animated movie.

Maleficient breaking her own curse was not an improvement. I gave up on that list after that

Deadline Hollywood thinks that Dumbo and Aladdin opening within two months of each other might not be the smartest thing. It could very well be a repeat of what happened to Solo: A Star Wars Story, which was released just five months after The Last Jedi. They forgot to mention that The Lion King opens in about the same amount of time after Aladdin.

Does it help having two live-action feature adaptations of Disney classics, Dumbo and Aladdin, two months apart?

That's what I've been saying. They're doing the same thing with the MCU now and it just seems like bad scheduling to me.

Well, the three movies are three different genres of film if you take away the whole 'live action remake' aspect. Dumbo's a straight up drama; Aladdin's a romance/action comedy and Lion King's musical drama with comedic undertones, where Star Wars pretty much falls into the same sci-fi drama realm. The only thing the three movies really share overall are that they're family friendly movies and are all remakes. Plenty of room for all three for those that don't mind paying jacked up ticket prices.

Since I am going back to work on Monday I am starting to plan on what films I'll be showing to my students on Fridays in the after-school program. The other week I had the kids watch the original Beauty and the Beast over the live-action one mainly because it was simpler and shorter. One of the children liked the live-action film but thought the scenes with the wolves were more more scarier than the ones in the first film. Some of them didn't like Gaston using a gun in the final battle. I heard that producer Don hahn and Paige O'Hara say that was something the live-action movie probably shouldn't have featured.

In the meantime, he's a song where the Mouse himself sings about remaking animated films.

The last day really hasn't been what Walt Disney Studios has been hoping for their upcoming live-action films. The new look at Dumbo hasn't reached a huge number of views on Youtube. So far in the past 24 hours, it has only reached over 100,000 views.

The new look at the live-action Aladdin might have reached over 3 million views and is currently #2 on trending, but it has gotten 43,000 dislikes compared to its 32,000 dislikes.

I don't think that is a good sign for either film.

Not to mention that people are just getting tired of the live-action remake stuff from them.

Like I said earlier I still wonder if having three of these films released during the same year is a good idea. If moviegoers got fatigued by too many Star Wars or LEGO movies, then they are likely to feel the same about these as well. Next year, after Disney releases Mulan and Maleficent II, they might want to really consider slowing things down a bit.

Even I don't think there should be a live-action adaptation of The Nightmare Before Christmas. I like the film and it's one of Tim Burton's best films even if Henry Selick directed it but yeah, I can't see this.

How would that even work? Live action pretty much takes away everything special about the film.

Naturally one of Tim Burtonís best film is the one he never worked on beyond the original poem and character designs.

He still served as producer of the film, so how come him being producer of the film along with doing the poem and character designs equals that he never worked on the film?

The new Dumbo preview actually looked pretty good and so does this new poster that was released last week.
