What exactly do you think has to be contradicted for more color variants?

Lightsaber crystals are clear. The color of the blade is a reflection of the original owners personal Atonement with the crystal itself. The crystals can also change color as seen with Ashoka's white saber blades those crystals were purified crystals. There is nothing stopping them for introducing more colors. Right now we have seen black, white, red, blue, green and purple blades in canon.

Ahsoka's lightsabers were formerly owned by Sith Inquisitors, which is why they're white. The crystals inside them had been "wounded" (turning the blades red), and she "healed" them.

Regarding Mace Windu's purple blade, it has not yet, to my knowledge, been explained in Canon why his connection to the Kyber Crystal within his saber turned its blade purple rather than blue or green as has been seen with every other Jedi lightsaber, so saying that they can just introduce other colors simply because we have one example of one single Jedi having a non-standard saber color is trying to create a cause-and-effect situation out of nothing.

I'm guessing this connection to the kyber crystal shit is something they cooked up in this new canon as in the original canon that had nothing to do with the colors. The colors then were influenced purely by the type of crystal chosen. Not trying to attack this new canon but another dumb thing they had to change for the sake of it.

you think The Last Jedi will gross more money world-wide or domestically than The Force Awakens did? biggest hype factor for TFA was the nostalgia factor, the return of the original cast, reprising their roles for the first time in over 30 years, and the biggest hype factor for TLJ is Carrie Fisher's last film

Could be possible.

who here thinks it's very possible that Leia's death(that is if Carrie Fishers character Leia does die in The Last Jedi) will probably be mentioned in novel, literature form, or in comic form?

Actually, all of the "your saber color is determined by the type of crystal used" stuff was never absolute Canon, as it was overruled and overwritten by both -G-Canon and TV-Canon (since the bits of lore about lightsabers containing Kyber Crystals and the colors being determined by the process of gathering and bonding with said crystals came directly from George before he sold Lucasfilm to Disney, although they weren't made public knowledge until afterward).

I don't mind the new explanation for the colors, though I admit it'll take some getting used to since the original method of colors depending on crystal utilized is still logical. I mean, logical in a Star Wars sense.

^ It's not new; it's been Canon lore for nearly 5 years, and, as I noted, overruled the EU Canon explanation even before said Canon was discarded.

I think that's a pretty safe bet.

Kathleen Kennedy shot down our hope of an unaltered release of the OT.

https://www.flickeringmyth.com/2017/...ilogy/?ref=yfp

Well, it looks like we now have official confirmation Kathleen Kennedy that the original cuts will never again see the light of day, with the Lucasfilm chief telling MovieWeb:*“I wouldn’t touch those, are you kidding me? [Laughs] Those will always remain his.

We now have a release date for Episode IX: May 24th, 2019.

Huh. No December release as usual for the franchise? Ok then.

I think it's because they don't want to continue the December release annually and returning to their roots by releasing their films in May.

A few days after the twentieth anniversary of Episode 1 BTW. I hope that's not a bad omen.

If I remember correctly, The Last Jedi was originally intended for a May release but then they changed it to December again, felt it would have been better, to coincide with the 40th anniversary of Star Wars

Happy Star Wars Day. May he 4th be with you. And thanks to Rogue One, we can now say "I am one with the 4th and the 4th is with me." (I cant take credit for that one. I got it from Amazon's Alexa.)

And to celebrate Star Wars Day, Comedy Central's @midnight will have three Star Wars related contestants. Alan Tudyk (K-2SO), Ashley Eckstein (Ahsoka) and John DiMaggio (Several characters on Lego Star Wars: The Freemaker Adventures).
