Here's a closer look at the upcoming expansion for the Wizard World of Harry Potter in Orlando.

http://www.insidethemagic.net/2013/0...ersal-orlando/
So, Diagon Alley and the other parts of this new area will be partially, if not completely, in the old Amity area of Universal Studios? That's...an interesting choice of locale. If that's the case, I would LOVE that. There's been many times I would have my fill of Universal and want to jump over to Islands of Adventure, but first having to cross all the way over from MiB to the front gate, walk through City Walk, and then get to Islands' front gate. And this way I don't have to walk through Suess Landing or The Lost Continent (although The Lost Continent does look breathtaking)!

Merida of Disney and Pixar's Brave was officially welcomed into the Disney Princess court today at Magic Kingdom.

Also, like Cinderella and Belle, Disney Theme Parks gave Princess Aurora a slightly new look. This is the first time it's been shown in any articles or videos.

Universal Orlando will be adding some more Simpsons attractions. In addition to the The Simpsons Ride and the Kwiki Mart, the expansion will have a restaurant area called Fast Food Boulevard. It will include Krusty Burger, the Frying Dutchman, Luigi’s Pizza, Lard Lad, and Moe’s Tavern. A new ride called Kang & Kodos’ Twirl ‘n’ Hurl is in also the works.

Well I knew it was bound to happen, Disneyland has closed the doors of it's Tommorowland arcade Starcade for good, it has since been converted into a giftshop

I played Street Fighter 3 in the Starcade when it came out years ago.

The Fantasyland Theater at Disneyland just opened the new show, Mickey and the Magical Map. It features songs from “The Jungle Book,” “Pocahontas,” “Mulan,” “Tangled,” “The Princess and the Frog,” “The Little Mermaid,” and “Lilo and Stitch,” and adds an original song, “Journey of the Imagination.”

Here are some photos of the Simpsons restaurants at Universal Orlando. Marge and Homer made an appearance at the opening.

They included Flaming Moe's?! Very detail-oriented.

I wonder if they have a Frying Dutchman, Gilded Truffle and Happy Sumo in there.

they have the Frying Dutchman and Lugi's. My only problem is Comic Book Buy's shop isn't real. To me if you want a place to sell your actual merchandise it would of been that place.

Looks like Hollywood Studios could be getting a major expansion.

I was very unimpressed with Universal when I went in Dec. 2011. The tram was still the best part for me and the Simpsons one was pretty good too. The Mummy was lame and i was expecting a lot more from Jurassic Park. They were working on the Transformers ride but that will be a let down just like the movies.

Mixed emotions. I loved the Backlot Tour when I was younger, and I kinda understand why it's getting axed. I love that Cars Land is coming to Disney World! I only wish there was a full Toontown in Florida! (The last time I was in Disneyland, it was the summer before Toontown opened. )

The 'Transformers' ride opened at Universal Orlando and this article contains plenty of photos.

Funny you should mention that, because when MGM (I refuse to acknowledge the name change) was being built, the section where Tower of Terror is was going to have a whole Toontown area, with all kinds of themed rides. Of all ideas for that section, Tower of Terror was the only thing that survived.

As for Cars land, MGM is kind of looking like G4 or any other themed channel, where slowly they're including stuff not matching the theme, but is popular enough to bring people in regardless. First it was the Toy Story ride and "Pixar Land," and now...Cars. They are really pimping out Cars anymore. Not happy about that, at all. To be fair, I've never seen Cars Land in California, but I doubt it's going to match the "Old time Hollywood that never was" feel that the park was all about.

Anyways, I just got back from Disney World a week ago, I'll talk about it later, but one thing that kept coming up in my mind was thinking of gritty reboot/ghetto versions of Disney rides. Like It's A Small World, but instead it's about acts of violence from around the world, ending with all the countries dolls together fighting each other with a nuclear bomb going off (the flash is the part where you get your picture taken). Soarin', but you fly through the ghettos, dodge drive by shootings, fly through the middle east during war time (dodging missiles and return fire), etc. Stitch!, but instead it's a guy on bath salts running around the room. I tried to think of one for the Haunted Mansion, but that's kind of morbid already when you get down and look at it.
