Holy cow Batman at the amount of 1st round picks Sam Presit has stockpiled for the Thunder for the next 7 years! 15 1st round picks with and a few pick swaps. Massive collection of picks to use for the Thunder now. I know not every draft pick will pan out but that is a lot of ammo to use for future trades. About the big trade, I dont think pairing up a stat hogger with a ball hogger is going to work. I just dont see Westbrick taking a backseat. Not only that but Westbrick can't even shoot 3's anymore. Shooting 30% and playing within a D'antoni offense sounds like a disaster. At least CP3 can shoot the 3 reliably and make free-throws. I expect Westbrick to struggle in those areas and the Rockets have to find ways to overcome it. I really dont think either team won this trade as well. So weird. Maybe down the road when we see how the future draft picks pan out. No clue whats going to happen to CP3 especially for whoever takeso n his contract.

Canít believe Kawhi chose the Clippers. I was assuming they were a distant third with the Raptors and Lakers ahead. Acquiring PG and Kawhi was a master stroke for the Clippers though. They have plenty of strong pieces and that backcourt looks scary with three all-nba defenders. Losing all those draft picks though and Gilgeous-Alexander sounds like a lot for PG.

Have to say this doesnít scream good about Westbrook, especially from reports that PG wanted out. OKC have lost two extremely talented wings in a 3 year span. Hey Paul George is now in LA like he always wanted.
I assume Kawhi wanting to return to his home region, his Southern California roots, was a factor in him wanted to join the Clippers, since he grew up, born and raised in the SoCal region.

Probably the biggest letdown in Lakers history, if not NBA history in general, Dwight Howard has expressed interest in playing in Los Angeles again.

Funniest part was the Lakers staff pointedly said he would make a great third string center.

The Lakers just signed Giannis's little brother Kostas Antetokounmpo to a two-way deal. So of course everyone thinks it's just a plot to get the Greek Freak to L.A. when his contract ends two years from now, which it probably is.

https://sports.yahoo.com/lakers-ante...225103921.html

And speaking of the Bucks, Kyle Korver finally decided that Milwaukee's where he's playing next season.

Free agency is pretty much over. Every little move that happens now until training camp is just nothing to me lol. When Justin Holiday was the last best available free agent out there and got picked up, you know its time to get ready. Curious to see who ends up playing for Team USA next month.

Nice for him, he will always be a Spur. Happy for him to be coaching with Pop.

My first thought was "What took him so long?"

I think he's more than ready to take on this role.

Gallinari and co. gonna be looking fresh in those new jerseys this season. I'm not even a Thunder fan and yet I gotta respect that.

Congrats on him and the Warriors. Good for both sides to seal the deal this early.

The Christmas Day slate has been announced, with the tree topper to be the remixed Lakers and Clippers doing battle at Staples. But who's home team?

The other matches are the Westbrook-reinforced Rockets v. the Thompson-less Warriors in the new San Francisco arena, Bucks v. Sixers, the stripped Celtics v. the champion Raptors, and the Zion-ized Pelicans v. the Nuggets.

We're officially ten weeks away from the start of the new NBA season!

On October 22, we'll be treated to the debut of Zion Williamson on the New Orleans Pelicans, as they face the reigning champion Raptors in Toronto. Followed by who else but the talk of every basketball fan on Earth, the brand new battle for Los Angeles between LeBron and AD's Lakers and Kawhi and PG-13's Clippers at Staples Center.

The next night, chronoxiong's Sacramento Kings begin against jediranger's Phoenix Suns, kc16's New York Knicks start up versus the San Antonio Spurs, Cancer0081's Oklahoma City Thunder kick off opposite the Utah Jazz, and superfanmj94's Miami Heat get things going with the Memphis Grizzlies.

Nice. I think I heard that we only have one fricken game on national TV this year. And thats sad since we were fighting for the Playoffs all season long last year. I have yet to look at the schedule since I need to get into football mode soon but I will eventually.

On a side note, this year's Team USA is looking very lackluster for the FIBA World Cup. So many stars dropped out and we are looking at Kemba Walker and Donovan Mitchell as the two best players out of the group. And thats including with the other Celtics on the squad too. I'm assuming D'aaron Fox is going to make the cut though since the team lacks a true PG off the bench. So I get to root for him if that happens.

They said the Pelicans went from 3 nationwide games last season to 20 this season just because of Zion.

No wonder Anthony Davis left, his brand was unappreciated.

Another big blow to DeMarcus Cousins. According to reports, it seems he picked up an ACL tear during a workout in Las Vegas. I feel so bad for him, injury after injury, he just canít get any luck go his way. I really hope he recovers and just enjoys life, doesnít seem like he will ever get back to the Boogie of old as he keeps picking up serious injuries. https://es.pn/2TB3c6B

And here I thought it was a waste of money for a relatively healthy Boogie...

Prayers he heals up fully.

Oh dear god, now that Cousins is hurt, the Lakers are pursuing Dwight Howard.

I knew we were going to regret trading Zubac, but not to the tune of repeating a sad chapter of the past.
