They stole my damn Hong Kong Phooey movie from me.
I still hope that one day that will happen.

Even though it probably won't.

Animated? Pretty cool.

To be honest, I think the first live action movie was decent for what it was (except with the whole thing of making Scrappy be the villain).

Hopefully, this new movie will be good.

Didn't the HB universe already exist in at least two incarnations? The Mystery Inc one (with Jabberjaw, Speed Buggy, etc), and the original one from the 70's/80's/current day DTVs. Scooby's Laff-A-Lympics, the WWE crossover films with Scooby, the Jetsons, etc, and all the cameos in different shows?

Scooby, Huck, Muttley and Augie Doggie apparently existed in the Pound Puppies world; Blue Falcon was in the Scoobyverse and Dexter's Lab; Scooby was in the Johnny Bravo universe, the Superfriends and Scooby Doo apparently share the same world with Batman and Robin's appearance in the New Scooby Doo Movies, and a bunch of other examples I can't think of right now.

Scrappy doesn't need to be anywhere near anything Scooby-Doo related ever again.

If this is gonna be animated though, I'm guessing they'll bring in a celebrity voice cast for the gang. I'm not keen on anyone but Frank Welker voicing Freddy, since he's voiced him in everything Scooby related for the past 48 years with the exception of "A Pup Named Scooby-Doo".
I'd imagine that they would still keep Welker as Fred and Scooby.

Speaking of the "Pup" timeline, I'd love a follow-up movie to those versions of the gang, where Freddy is still blaming Red Herring for everything, even now that they're adults.

"It's none other than... RED HERRING!"
"Seriously, Jones? I'm on my honeymoon!"

That would've really fit into the live action movies, especially Monsters Unleashed.

Either that or he'd blame Red and everyone would discount him because it's Fred, and then likely the culprit would've been Red for once.

Indeed.

I'd recommend it if only for the sheer novelty.

And it was one of the earlier projects that James Gunn was involved.

They should just keep on with their yearly (?) movies, those are rather fun, especially the team-up/crossover ones. I did like the WWE ones and the KISS one was a barrel of laughter and then some. IMO they should just tag team the Scooby gang up with something new each year/movie and I'll be happy.

And oh, no Scrappy. >.<

I know this is a Scooby-Doo thread, but it is Hanna-Barbara, one thing I never understood is why Hollywood never made a live-action Jetsons movie, that would have been very interesting

They've tried many times over the years, since at least the 1980s. But it always fell through.

Funny, over ten years ago, I read a review for a live-action Jetsons script written in 1996 that oddly anticipated the Matrix. I can't find that review anymore, though.

A live-action Jetsons film can happen. It just needs something that could make it work.

ya I have felt for many years now that Danny DeVito is the perfect actor to potray George Jetson's Boss, Mr. Spacely, but he is not getting any younger, that's why they should hurry up and make on, or you think Danny DeVito is getting too up there in age already?

Mr. Spacely played by Danny DeVito is the best example of perfect casting.
