Wing is my favorite. I don't think its overrated, in fact I think all the other Gundam series should bow down and worship it.
Mobile Suit Gundam disagrees with you.

While it was visually outdated, the original's story was better than Wing's.

I've only seen Gundam Wing, and only part of that. I bought a boxset (are there any official ones?) off eBay, and it's still a good series, even though it's a bit confusing by my point.
Yes there are official sets. I have both sets(prt1 and 2) They were and still are $40 a set.

There was a plan some time ago, during the Gundam Big Bang Project, in which they were going to redo MSG with brand new art (in the same style, just updated). Shame it never went through due to the lack of interest by fans at the time.

Generally I enjoy each of the Gundam shows about the same level of enjoyment to me. The original three have better stories, but later have better characterization, so it evens out.
The exception is G. I never cared for any of them, as I dislike it when the gundams themselves become more important then the pilots. I know why others love it, but it's not for me. That and I prefer the more future military, not kung fu mecha fighting.

00 is okay, but too much like Wing if it had no characters I cared about.

One more thing, 0083 and 08th MS Team were vastly underrated.

Blasphemy!

I don't understand why some many people look down on GW after being introduced to others g-series, but GW was incredibly intelligent and breath taking. The story, characters, and the models were the reasons the series stands as one of my favorite animes of all time. However, I guess that's why people are entitled to their own opinion

Don't get me wrong, I thought Wing was fantastic. I just think that the original had a better story.

The original was defiantly a phenomenal start, and stepping stone to the series. I'll say that much. There is a few mobiles that haven't lived to the four-father's potential.

Well...crud. Hopefully The Man doesn't find out I have bootlegs.

For the record, here's the set I bought. It has 8 episodes per disc, and managed to put all 6 discs in one case.

Yep, that's bootleg, but it shouldn't really matter that much.

I know. I brought G gundam box set a couple of years ago, not knowing they were bootlegged. You can always know so if they have the entire series in 1 set with a low price tag. if given the chance, i would buy another bootlegged set, if i can't find it anywhere else.

Personall, I am LOVING Gundam 00. I will withhold my final verdict after the second season has aired, but personally, I am loving it to death. To me, it's like what Gundam Wing SHOULD have been so far. Again, I'll hold my final thoughts until after the series ends, but I really think it's an amazing series so far.

I have all of Gundam Wing and Endless Waltz. Just haven't gotten around to watching the dvds yet. Still did get my copy of Endless Waltz signed by Relena and Quatre as seen here on the right:

How do people like "Turn A"? I thought it was the most hideous gundam ever! Anyway, my favorite is Z Gundam. Hands down, best series. Now, I have a question: Who is the best pilot in the entire Gundam universe? I have to go w/ Char Aznable.

My personal favourite would be the mini series Mobile Suit Gundam 0080: War in the Pocket.

Wing was a good way to introduce Gundam to the Cartoon Network audience. Sadly they tried to follow it up with UC... Regardless, in the grand scheme of Gundam series Wing is really on the low side of average, I think. I'm not saying that I don't like Wing and rewatch it from time to time, but there are quite a few series that I like better. Gundam X is tops on my AU list. For a start it feels like it better balances the super-robotness and seriousness than Wing was able to, plus certain character parallels with UC which I found very interesting. Khandri hit it pretty well. People adore Wing because it was typically their first series.

I really enjoyed Turn A since it was as different an approach to Gundam as G, but a completely separate storytelling style. Kinda hated the ending, but that happens to me with anime about half the time anyway. Double Zeta isn't as bad as folks seem to make it out, I think it's probably just jarring when watching Zeta first. Sad thing for me is that aside from the end two-thirds of SEED and a brief period early Destiny, I can't really tolerate modern Gundam very well. Maybe 00 isn't as heavy-handed as what all I've read about it indicates, but the storytelling style these days... just something don't sit right.

But, y'know, different strokes and all.

I recently started watching Z Gundam on YouTube and I have to say that this is an amazing series. I like the way how SEED and SEED Destiny were adapted from this.
