((Crud, I did it again. Sorry, June has been super tough))

Lux's words caused Sampson to think... think of who he had once been compared to he was trying to be. If he had never met Lux and Derek, it was possible he would yet be working with Nek.

"Yeah... well at least she's on our side, huh?"

JB nodded. "We'll get there. And I doubt Charlie would destroy anything like that. She's rough around the edges, but she follows protocol. I really hope they can capture it so we can find out its origin."

With that, a portal appeared before them. Demorphing, JB motioned for the others to follow us they walked in to meet with Cruger.

"Yeeeaaah, at least there's that." Lux tried (not very well) to seem casual as she opened a new window on her monitor, started looking through footage for a better shot of that werewolf-ish creature. As she'd already said, SPD's Red Ranger seemed unusually aggressive around them, and Lux couldn't really pinpoint a reason for that. She wasn't some kind of righteous paladin type who distrusted them for their pasts, it was more...jealous? In the possessive sense, being overly protective of what she thought was hers, even though none of them were even close to her in rank. Lux didn't like puzzles with missing pieces.

"Anyway, do you need to get back to work soon or can you come up here to debrief?" She asked.

"So, anyone know what was going on with the coffee shop?" Gabe asked, as they walked through the portal.

"Probably lookouts," Jezebel replied. She didn't demorph or remove her helmet, unlike Gabe who'd powered down pretty much the second they were through the portal. "They could monitor the area without attracting as much attention as the people working in the warehouse."
