I am getting the replacements from reprolabels but its not going to make it in time for the Orlando AFO which is this weekend. if anyone can help me out i will highly appreciated. if possible please PM and I will PM you my email address. Thanks.

The only photo I have right now of my morphers. I now have the reprolables on the gold and silver and two regular ones one with the lables and one waiting on lables as well as the broken plate one.

Out of curiosity, for those who have clickclash's metal morpher plates, has anyone attempted to get a new spring to make it easier for the plates to open? Or is that even possible?

i thought about it. on one of my morphers it's bent a little, but just got as far as going to local wal-mart. they didn't have that size. haven't looked around anymore.

Loosen your battery and back a little. It will make it easier to open, that and if the x and y are too tight it won't open correctly. Most of the issues have nothing to do with the spring itself.

OMG!!! That is soo AWESOME!! I'm definitely liking this one version than the other. How you manage to make the background green? It makes the claw stand out more. Did Click customized for ya? I want one like right now hahah!

Sorry to side track the thread a little.

does the starlight metal XY axis have problems with the gap between the morpher when closed?
or is it usually due to the plastic XY warping overtime?

So i did the gap fix and in doing so, being careless, i broke the connection of the wire that we were warned about haha. bonehead move. so i've gotta solder it back together, i bought a solder kit just for this, dang it.

what kind of wire should i use? i was thinking about ripping some old non working electronics and use that but idk.

yay, another project -_-. at least i get to learn how to solder haha.

Don't use any new wire. Just get a pair of wire strippers.

Use those to strip off about 1/4" inch of the insulation on both ends of where it broke. Then just solder it back together.

If your cable just came off the contact, strip 1/4" off the end of the wire and just solder it back to the contact.

It's a very simple process, I've done this exact thing before.

thanks jake. my heart dropped when it happened. i was like, sh*t! what can i do? tape, tape, tape, where's the tape? that failed. meh.

well, i was thinking of adding a length of wire in case i ever had to open it again. i'd like to avoid this from happening again. i thought i was being careful, but not careful enough i guess.

I use 22 gauge wire when I get a new morpher. I work as a precision technician and love to solder so I replace the wires even if they are good. Now with the 22 gauge the thickness is more than the original but that's because of changes. It's the same type and if you re-wire you can make it longer so you don't have to worry about it breaking at all. The morpher uses the same gauge for all it's wiring.

Anyone have any tips how to deal with stripped screws on the back of the morpher? I went to try to undo the three screws that hold the back in place and stripped two of the three heads. Any ideas?
