So question for the people following the craze of headsets that change the world around you. What seems more interesting, AR or VR? Personally, I find the prospect of changing the way we view the world with AR more interesting. My mind lights up with ideas of walking down the street and seeing some Power Rangers-like monster towering over a skyscraper or finding a secret treasure on the sidewalk. As it stands now, VR seem way too restricting as you need some type of peripherals to control the world. AR allows you to see the world in a different manner and has so many practical applications that can work in present day. I hope that the death of the Hololens creator didn't impede work on it. It would be sad that his work just up and vanished after he died.

Personally, I like the idea of VR for the controlled, new, and unique environment, but AR for the opportunity for actual exercise while playing a video game (that isn't dancing or the like). AR is cool, but I don't play RPGs to go out and find goblins around my apartment building, you know?

...Actually, I think I just want a holodeck.

My brother works for MadCatz and asked me the other day which RB guitars we had at home. Some of which he brought home because they were just laying around the office. Now I know why he asked haha. It's too bad that I still prefer the GH2 guitars.

They did, but since they've been out of the market for, what, 4 years now? A lot of people are happy to see them return, let's just hope they learned their lesson.

I had no idea Kirito was behind the AW technology. I still need to finish watching SAO II, I stopped after Episode 05.

I personally would enjoy a combo of VR and AR simultaneously, I wonder if it'd be possible to combine both into one super immersive experience?

So I just finished AC Rogue on the PS3. I really love how they tied Rogue into the other games with the story line. FYI, don't switch between AC Rogue and Unity. I de-syncronized so many times because the controls change lol.

I'm personally waiting till they invent something like in The Matrix where you get an implant in your spine that you can plug stuff into so you can play the games directly into your mind.

Seriously though I would like to get VR because I like to play Portal, Half Life, Left 4 Dead, and Five Nights at Freddy's.

I had a weird idea for an AR video game once where it was a spaceship shooter like R Type, or Raiden but with a tilted pseudo 3D camera for a handheld device or game system, and the gimmick was it used a front facing camera, and depending on where you where, and when it would make the level you were playing based on it.

Like if you where in a car, and someone else was driving, and you where around a forest the game would take that, and turn into the forest planet of the game.

Anyone interested in the MGS V Collector's Edition with the replica hand? I must admit I hope its poseable, I'd get a chuckle if I could get him to flip the bird . I think I'd be more interested in this if it came with a statue of Snake or something like that. It looks cool though.

That would hurt like heck though, wouldn't it? I'd prefer a painless method of VR/AR.

Probably but I realistically expect to be Stan Lee's age by the time we get around to it, or we'll have holodecks or something else by then.

Tax money came in. Got a new router, as well as DRagon Ball Xenoverse, a preorder for Dead or Alive 5 Last Round on PC, and a spare copy of Pillars of Eternity from a friend.

Started playing Shining Force II again on Ultimate Genesis Collection. Took a sec as forgot where I was for a bit, but am liking it as I did. Any of you guys play it, or any of the other Shining Series games? Myself, aside from the first one on UGC and Sega Smash Pack when I first learned of it, I also have Shining Force Neo and Shining Tears on PS2. Thought it's been many years since I've played them.

Any suggestions on solid games $9 and under on the PSN store to grab for a Vita? Maybe a decent platformer or turn-based RPG? Going on a trip to California in a week and a half and want something new to play around with on the flights.

(I say $9 or under because I literally only have around $9 in credit right now and don't really care to add more)

Wolfenstein: The Old Blood. was announced this week. From the trailer it looks to like this game is getting the Dead Island: Riptide treatment. Same game with just newly added type of enemies and weapons. While I'll probably still get it as I had a blast with the first game....the game is a prequel to New Order.....which is really a backwards logic move to make considering how the game ended

EDIT: Well apparently its not even a full game, it'll be priced at $15 in may. So this looks like to be a stand alone game....almost makes me wonder if it was intended to be DLC that they never got to release on time or something.

I've been wondering, but how big is everyone's gaming backlog here?

I own 121 PS3 games, but I've only beaten 49 of them.

I'll be lucky if I get to 60 or 70 beaten games by Christmas, especially since I should be working soon.
