Can confirm, at least in my area.

Anyway, general want for Lightning Collection: when/if they get to Ninja Steel, the Pink Ranger needs a unique mold. Because no other female Ranger had her proportions. She definitely didn't have a generic "slim female" build.

Yeah, it was a really rare release. It also sadly didn't make it outside of the US (I believe) so that really bummed me out because I really liked that design...

Love you! lol

As long as they get her duck face right.

Yeah, I think the cape is going to be the really difficult part of Magna Defender. Not just what to make it out of, but the look, the pose-ability. Maybe they want to look at what Figuarts did with Doctor Strange, where the cape is ultimately stiff, and you can pose around that.
Dr. Strange has joints though.

It's probably gonna end up like TLJ Ren's..

Well the sentai version had the slim build. While the actress for Ninjasteel certainly is a very curvy woman, in the suit she seemed "slimmer". Still though it's obvious the bottom half of the body was much wider than any other ranger in either franchise before. Probably the only figure that should really play up the overall shape. Still not to Bandai's "basketballs chest" and overall terrible female figures as a figure.

I think Hasbro making a unique body for potentially every taller/shorter/whatever actor is probably hoping (wishing?) for too much...

they're more likely to just operate off of the visuals of the suited stunt performers from the Sentai series, which is generally the look that is advertised

It's also important to note that Hasbro doesn't always pick the right body type for certain characters. Granted with Comics characters can change from artist the artist but the point still stands.

I wonder if Hasbro would somehow have access to Bandai's molds... like how they reused Toybiz Marvel Legends parts for some of their early releases... they could possible finish Psycho yellow and Pink in the same mold style. I know that was a bit different because Toybiz actually went out of business... but I'm still curious.

I doubt they could make Bandai hand them over, BUT if Bandai chose to hand them over then maybe?

I think bandai would have no problem handing over molds of old figures, they wont do them any good anymore. It will just cost hasbro more money since they would have to buy them off bandai. And even if hasbro got that stuff in the buyout anyway, why would they release old style figures that directly compete with their own line? If hasbro wanted to finish up the stuff bandai didnt bother with we would have seen either crimskn navy or green in the wave 1 lineup. Im still hoping theyll be in wave 2 though.

If thats the case, the female psychos should have been part of the first wave released for the lightning collection. Who knows when we will ever get to that point.

I just thought about after writing about wanting figures of deka in human form and monster form, I would love a figure of Lothor from Nina storm with maybe clip on pieces to change costume from regular baddie costume, to mayor costume in the parallel universe wild wipeout episode, and I Love Lothor episode. Yes please hasbros.

Bandai would still have use for the molds. The molds don't include all the details so they can reuse the bodies for the one other series BOA has rights to.

Also while I doubt it, I wish Hasbro would make a new waist. The problem with the Legends line is if you rotate the torso, well you see the rotation. You are rotating an oval and oval. Destroys the illusion.

Bandai made the legacy figures round enough that it generally isn't a problem.

Seems like a waste imo. Producing 2 out of scale figures that have nothing to do with what your company is planning to do with Power Rangers moving forward just doesn't make sense from any side other than the optimistic fan wanting a complete team.

Knowing how this Lightning line is being released, I am not certain if I'm even gonna bother trying to collect from it, possibly taking years to complete even one set of Rangers, Now if they release Rangers/Bad Guys that haven't been released before then of course i'll get those, just not sure on the ones who've had multiple releases

not necessarily...

the last thing a new license-holder would want to do is to show that their brand-new product is the same as the old company's...

that said, there probably is a possibility Hasbro could get access to the Psycho molds, but would it be worth it to them if they're making a point of their lightning collection being the most accurate depiction?
