Soft plastics, like on these, can warp even without the effect added. Depending on how you have it angled, humidity and natural gravity will warp it.

The stiffer the plastic, the less likely itíll do that. Adding the effect just naturally warps it faster.

Boiling water or a hot hair dryer will fix it.

My Shadow Ranger sword has been naturally warping for a while too, without the effect. Another thing a figuarts weapon wouldn't have done cough cough . As mentioned though, it's pretty easy to fix, but is kind of annoying that it needs fixing at all. My Dino Charge Red is cruising along though .

On another positive note, it's cool that none of these have suffered from Legends Gummy Knee Syndrome.

The LEGS on my female Legacy figures warped just from being posed in a cabinet.

The Legacy joints warped themselves just by you looking at them lol.

Count me in on Cruger's sword warping because of the effect piece, and angled down to boot lol. Noticed last week, heated it up via water and reshaped it. It's not perfect, but I haven't had a problem since, and I've been keeping a close eye on it.

And good God. The Legacy knee joints are laughably atrocious. I only have MMPR up anymore, but just within those 7, 5 of them have a serious problem with buckling under their own weight due to the knee caving in. These aren't extravagant poses either, learned pretty quick not to keep them like that. I'm talking legs shoulder width apart, and either a slight knee bend or none at all. Red and Green are the only ones who aren't as effected, which just shows how much worse the quality got after that first wave.

I keep having to twist the thighs so the knees face ever more inwards, just to keep them standing.

Trini looks like her bladder is going to explode any day now. I'll need to attempt a fix someday, if I want to keep them on display. But I honestly just can't be bothered to put that kind of time and energy into figures I never should have invested in, in the first place.

Is Rita controlling Trini's mind? Her movements look off.

It's weird how people have issues with Legacy Trini. I assumed it was because Trini is the only skirtless female, but I've had no issues customizing the Space girls. They hold position far better (sans skirt!) than the current Lightning Rangers. Zedd, no issues though. Is the leg issue an MMPR thing?

Legacy Psycho Black Lance is the worst for warping. They warp in the package!

Back to the topic of Lightning, have people notice any shelfwarming? I'm seeing a lot of Dino Charge Red, while the others sell out.

I normally see one or two boxes of White Ranger or Shadow Ranger shelf warming more than anything else. Most of the time itís because the figure has a big, obvious paint problem.

You just got me to check mine and it's also warped, I could've lived in blissful ignorance...
Sorry to ruin it for you. But maybe better now than later.

Thanks to the others, I'll try the boiling water sometime. For now I just laid the sword down, will deal with it later. Real shame though. I haven't bought too many such figures, so this is kinda new for me. I have my Gwenpool Legends figure, but her sword hasn't warped yet and I've had it for longer than Shadow for sure. Oh well, is what it is.

A suggestion, don't boil. Just use warm water.

I literally just popped apart a Shadow, and after 40 seconds in warm tap water he basically fell apart in my hands. I was worried I broke the shoulder at first.

It doesn't take much.

I recommend dipping the plastic in some cold water after you heat it up and shape it. Some soft plastic is really persistent and will slowly warp back into the original shape as it's cooling down. The cold water will remove all the heat in about 10-20 seconds and keep that from happening.

Soft plastic is a double edged sword. On the one hand it distorts but it doesn't really break and easy to put into hands.
Though when the items in a long sword or pole. Being ridgid is preferable.

Also be careful with hot water. My NS Red reacted to hot water and the red became a bit paler. Seems to have been the only figure that happened to. The LC hasn't reacted poorly. Honestly I suggest dipping the joints in hot water to loosen them up........especially if you are switching hands.

I know Hasbro won't change it but they need to switch to thicker and shorter joints. Better then those tiny ball joints on the legacy figures but it't not good for switching(and we all know my opinions on having two large open hands).

I'll keep that in mind. And about just using warm water. Thankfully it's just Cruger's sword, so will just have to dip the blade in and hope for the best.

So Zedd's staff on the Lightning figure is actually correct. When he first showed up the blade end was reversed. Later on in season 3 or Zeo it got flipped around.
As much as I would've liked this to have been the case, I'm afraid it is not. Here is his debut scene in "The Mutiny" and the curve is very much on the left.

Correct. It's no longer a curved triangle and instead a straight spike.

Correct that's how it was at the start. Now this Hasbro Curve gets weird. Now I'm looking at Youtube videos. It's very possible they flipped the footage(though the Z only has one correct direction). The the curve seems to be going the Hasbro way. Though honestly it seems like the footage goes out of it's way to obscure the curve.

Then you have various material. It's like someone has scrubbed the internet of any good looks at the curve.....conspiracy.

It's a mistake on Hasbro's part but I think it's because there may not be good reference if a 2nd staff going the Hasbro Curve exists.

The Thrax staff also has a wider top.

On the topic of Thrax' costume, his crotch guard suit is in the show. The big VFX shot was probably filmed in front of that green screen.

Man, I just really hope if Thrax ever gets an action figure or is put in a video game or something that they go with Thong Thrax and not Crotchplate Thrax.

What the actual fuck? I never knew anything about an alternate Thrax crotch plate. That is absolutely hilarious.

Yeah, I have no idea why, but for some reason they kept switching back and forth between the two throughout the episodes. Sometimes even in the same scene.

Thrax clearly has a magical codpiece.

Though maybe they changed it partway through filming when they realized that not only did it look a little creepy that he'd just be wearing a little dong-plate, but it's extra wear that it looks like the bottom half of his dad's face.
