SPD is the exception, as they’ve been pretty faithful convention participants.
Because almost all of them are Canadian, so travel to the U.S. is much simpler and worth their while. Monica May is American.

I know everyone is currently talking about wishing Amy Jo was at more conventions but I honestly wish more Disney era actors could appear. I wish there could be more full panels of the different Disney seasons, as opposed to just one or two from each season. SPD is the exception, as they’ve been pretty faithful convention participants.
probably because the largest portion of PR fans that show up at Cons, grew up with the MMPR-Zeo era

That is true. Airfares would be much cheaper, and more worth it. It makes sense, they'd be able to come the most. Which, i'm super thankful for, they're a great cast and their season was really good.

The biggest problem with that is that most of them are still in New Zealand, so there would be the cost of flying them in, on top of hotel rooms and meals for them. That could start to add up. I'm fairly certain trans-Pacific airfare isn't cheap.
Yeah, the cost would add up if they all did these conventions regularly. It's such a shame that it costs so much to travel, because i think it would be so cool to have more PR actors that we don't see on a regular basis and wish could come, or the convention helps with travel costs, but that's all wishful thinking i guess.

I'd be cool if Sally Martin showed up at PMC, personally.

So I just received my money back after initiating a charge back. I'm just curious if anyone else is going that route or if people will be filling out forms and holding their breath for 6-8 weeks?

well i'm shocked i got my Drakkon package (w/swag: 2 posters, 3 pins, TL Cruz auto photo and a check for $50 to cover the other Drakkon unfulfilled) yesterday...

small comfort for those who pooled a package for multiple Drakkons, but at least there is some fulfillment

Well, I got a surprise today. Opened my door and found a box from Power Morphicon sitting there. While I'm disappointed that I didn't get my Lord Darkkon figure I got some cool stuff that I wasn't expecting to get. I had opted to get the two pops for I had been interested in the megazords. But I also got four posters, a coin, some pins, and patches. Along with my shirt that I had added on. So seeing the extra stuff made me happy.

Soap operas stop for nobody. Sane reason you can forget Ria Vandervis coming back for the time being. Pua Magasiva, too, was on Shortland Street until just recently.

It's awesome, amazing how some fans even travel from outside the country for PMC, some flew from South America, and the UK, and Italy, but ya, it looks like for any convention anywhere, it looks more than unlikely there will ever be a panel in which all surviving season 1 MMPR era Rangers are in it, because that would mean JDF and ASJ would have to bury the hatchet, and Amy Jo being comfortable associating with other rangers at conventions besides JDF and David Yost, those are the only two Rangers she seems to be comfortable doing conventions with or associating herself with at shows, events, etc.

Can I just say after reading all this, I can see the issue some people have with Amy Jo.

Sidenote: Amy Jo seemed to have kept periodic contact with Thuy Trang before the accident. So you can technically add her to the list of ranger actors Amy Jo wss close to after leaving the show.

that I believe, but this just hit my mind now, when JDF attended PMC in 2010, he didn't do another convention in California until SDCC 2017, and someone else I spoke to recently, says he has spoken to convention promoters, and told me that California as a whole doesn't pay as much as other states do for conventions in order to get guests to attend, and it appears to be that way with the West Coast as well, since Amy Jo has never done any convention on the West Coast yet, including Oregon, Seattle Washington, Arizona, Nevada, because one thing for sure, Amy Jo is much more expensive than JDF.

So since California is not willing spend that much in order to lure guests to their conventions, and California is on the West Coast, I guess that applies all of the West Coast in general.

I wanna go to Rangerstop in November. I don't think I'll be able to afford many, if any, autographs if I end up going. Is there still a point to going if I can't afford $50 or whatever most of the actors are gonna charge just to say hi or whatever lol?
People often go to these things for the experience. To interact in the Q&A and what not.

If you can work towards saving up some money just do you can bring back a souvenir to remember by, that’d be great. But otherwise focus on the experience.

I agree with Decade. I would look for a souvenir that you can get to remember your time there but focus on just meeting actors. No need for signatures or pictures. Just meet them and talk to them. That made the experience worth it for me.

Nobody has to pay for an autograph to get the celebrities to look them in the eye. LOL

I was just talking about this with my family the other day, that camera phones have addicted this generation to "proof" of an experience over the contemplation of the moment itself and building that lasting memory. If you want to greet them and converse with them, they will absolutely not force you to pay them.

Probably not, NYCC is just too big of a con for JDF to have any say over who attends or not.
