Playskool Heroes Power Rangers

Welcome to the other half of Hasbro's first foray into the Power Rangers toy line - the more small-child-friendly Playskool Heroes toys!
Covering a wide assortment of characters, Zords, Megazords and vehicles from across Power Rangers history, the Playskool line has a little bit of something for everyone.

Official, confirmed, in-depth information on the releases aren't completely clear at the moment, but I am currently working on putting together a nice easy to read post full of info and pictures from the reveal at the recent Toy Fair in New York.

Wild Force Black Ranger & Jungle Fury Rhino Zord
I don't get it, but I like it.

It's the sort of choice that the old guard might've deemed "unsafe" or "untested" or "off brand".

I just realized why they probably made wild force toys. The kids who watched it when it aired now have kids to buy toys for. Thatís something Bandai probably wouldnít have done

Interesting hyposis, but I'm unsure. WF was only 2002, if you assumed the average age of the child watching at the time was around 7ish, that would put the adult in their mid 20s... a little too young to have many adults with children old enough to want/play with these toys.

Personally, I suspect its because WF was the first series to use actual animals (over Dinosaurs or mythical creatures). If you look at all of the Zords being released they are all things that would be popular with young children, wild animals and dinosaurs.

True. I watched WF as a kid back in 2003 (international airings, back when it took a year for everyone to get the seasons before Saban came back). I'm 20 and no kids. BUT, my one year older kinda-cousin had a daughter. A school classmate also had her son last year.

Their sons are still too young to play wikd that kinda stuff (maybe my classmate's son no, since he's like 9 months old maybe, but maybe yes).

Why didn't they just have the JF White Ranger instead of mixing two seasons like this. It is very bizarre.

i see that the classic "muscles" is being used for the Playskool line as opposed to the main BM toyline.

I love that they made a pink Mega Mighties figure but now it just feels like they're excluding Trini. Also is it strange that this is the only pink team representation we've gotten or am I just overly sensitive because pink is generally my fav ranger?

Pink is actually Tommy in disguise.
