MechaSouls!
So, this year, they've taken soul chips and Ranger keys, and mashed them into some unholy abomination of collectable gimmicks?

Personally, I prefer series that build up to some of this stuff rather than "congratulations, new Rangers - here are your weapons, your vehicles, your zords, your Megazords. Good luck with your first fight."
I have said similar things many times. Megaforce and Super Megaforce were the worst for this. The SMF premier, especially.

"Oh, there's a tougher Armada. Here, here's some more powerful morphers and zords."

"Wait, if you had more powerful stuff lying around, why the fuck didn't we have that to start with?"

"There's a simple explanation for that..."

To be fair that could have been easily explainable if Gosei just stated they needed to use the adjectiveless megaforce to prepare their bodies for Super Mega.

Or that the Super Mega powers were charging and they had to use the adjectiveless in the meantime.

I like stand alone but I am always a fan of continuations of the same power base. But I like details over simplicity..

I'll definitely be picking up the RyuSouls, because there's going to be original ones included, and I need to complete that collection lol.

I am curious to see what will be in each set. If this information is public, does that mean that pre order will open soon ?
Good to see that they keep selling complete set for minipla !

Or they could have spent an episode or two where the Rangers had to go on a quest to obtain the new powers. That was one of the problems with the approach they went with, the power-ups were unearned. Can you imagine if, in MMPR season 3, Rito destroyed the Thunderzords and fried the power coins, so Zordon just pulled a new set of coins out of a drawer and they continued on as if nothing happened? They had to shut down the whole command center in season 2 to create the White Ranger. The approach Super Megaforce took was just lazy writing.

I was thinking about this, minipla usually release only things that are already available in DX toys. What do we have so far ? Set 01 could be kishiryuoh 3 knights, and set 02 would be tiger lance and milNeedle and all souls as one soul is also a head for kishiryuoh. It would be, if true, a first that a set doesn't sell a robot on his own (last year EX and vs vehicule 3 were not available as set for example and I don't count the summer movie robot as well)

A new blog update from Bandai, this week focusing on the DX Ryusouken, explaining it's functions along with plenty of pictures.

So the blade "swallows" the not-ranger keys?

Not really impressed though the show can make good use of the gimmick.

I knew the blade was going to be small, but idk. It looked bigger in the catalog. That might be just my imagination though
