(Keeping with the tradition of me being one of the first to post in these threads!)

I very, very much love the look of these, most especially the KyuTama which give me Jackie Chan Adventures Talisman vibes (more so the metal versions released with the magazine over here). It's an incredibly refreshing, imaginative line. I can only hope I'll be able to afford it all, as I really want to get these things!

Also, KyurenOh has "docking" in its name. Along with the mix-and-match of the limbs, I was kind of vaguely onto something with my rockets idea.

I am SOOOOOO pumped for this line. Everything about it has me drooling. I haven't been this excited for a series since Go-Busters, and haven't been this invested in the mecha since Boukenger. That's saying something.

Kinda odd too... the belt buckle kind looks like half a Chrono Changer.

But these have to be some of the best suits... ever.

So there are 12 zodiacal constellations right? So 3 more Rangers to come? I hope there's a good final zord form, so far it looks more Kyoryuger limb swap style.

I do hope this is what we get for PR seasons 26 and 27!

The starting nine aren't based purely on the zodiac, though. We have the likes of Leo and Libra, but also things like Chamaeleon and Aquila. And Ophiuchus, which is the thirteenth zodiacal constellation.

We're supposed to be getting 42 KyuTama, so there should be one for each zodiac sign. But we don't seem to be getting a team of zodiac-specific Rangers here.

As for the mecha, the fact that almost any Voyager can be an arm OR a leg immediately adds to the degree of forms available. But huh, I'd not thought about possible future combos... tantalising!

Bring some comments over from GD

I find it interesting the Power Ranger movie Megazord and now Kyuranger have little rangers you can place in the mecha

All that DETAIL! Definitely makes up for the zyudenryu and Zyouhger

I like that the mecha is simplistic for kids yet not like the "PlaysKool anime eyes" mecha we've had over the years

The swapping gimmick is very simple.

Zordbuilder take notes.

Although i'm surprised there's no new helmet or anything when the other's join onto KyurenOh.

Again it's very simple arm and leg swap with Red as the core.

I really like Hebitsukai voyager.

It's the most "Space" looking with the white and domey chest like an Astronauts helmet

I'm not a fan of ShiShi Voyager as a core. The 4 remaining voyagers are more interesting than the main five

I'll probably wait for the movie mecha or true 6th ranger/10th ranger to see what other better options there are for mecha cores

I agree... there's something aggressive and massive about this mecha.

It really is like Toei skimped on Zyuohger to have the funds for this... lol!

So do all of the KyuTama open to put figures in them, or just the ones with the mecha?

I am interested in how Bandai will expand said mecha for the mid to later combinations.
Already we have a rather solid base for a rather well made mecha especially comparing to what we had to deal with the past few years.

No... they're completely a different set.

The main KyuTama that come as the normal DX Mecha do not open. There is a DX Cockpit assortment that will be sold as sets that have the opening hatches and the mini figures that can replace the normal DX ones.

Thanks! This year we're very lucky to get something so HQ. It's not every year we're this spoiled.

Usually we get thumbnail/ bits and pieces for the whole year without a single leak of HQ pictures

Wait. I don't understand one part. Obviously the DX cockpit assortment has mini figures.

So the "globe" part NOT the mecha part can be swapped out so you get the opening hatch gimmick?

Oh that's just devious.

You've mentioned this a few times now. I can only recall Go-onger and Kyoryuger having those anime-style eyes.

I will agree that these are the best mecha we've had in a while. Some fantastic designs, and the KyuTama are lovely. I don't dislike the ZyuDenRyu or the Doubutsu Cubes, but the Voyagers are a cut above.

I wouldn't call those anime eyes, though. (I guess it depends on the art style. ) The designs are cutsey and super-deformed, sure, but compared to the ZyuDenRyu and most especially the vehicles in Go-onger, those are dame eye-wise. Even the ZyuDenRyu probably aren't all that anime-style.. my mind mainly went to Gabutyra.

Playskool? Absolutely (and not bad because of it, on their own).

Oh that's just devious.
Well... that may just be how I'm interpreting it. "Swapped out" to means that the regular ones don't open and these replace them. It wouldn't surprise me, but I don't want to buy KyuTama just for the figures, I kinda figured they'd have something else as a "treat". Devious indeed if true.

EDIT: Looking back at the photos, yeah, I'm betting the normal DX ones don't open and you buy the globes and figures, swap them out, then BOOM, opening hatch and figures.

Looks to be exactly that way. The regular KyuTama don't seem to open up, and the ones included with the Voyagers are the DX versions of the core nine. You simply pop those off (as you'd do to use them with the Blaster or Weapon), put the opening cockpit versions on, and voila!

Well at least this "catch" just applies to the mini rangers and not the DX mecha

It's not a full double dip because it's not another Voyager + opening capsule gimmick

For example:

You get the DX Sasori(Scorpion) voyager. It doesn't have an open cockpit

You NEED to buy a Kyutama + Another Sasori voyager to get the opening cockpit gimmick.

Or just doesn't buy the DX version and go for the one that opens up the cockpit.

I wonder if a gashapon set will have the open cockpit feature. That will probably be a cheaper alterative.

Well, at least the RBKGY cockpit KyuTama are being released in a set, and the assumption is that the other four will be a set too (can we use A for Gold, as in Au/aurum? OASP). But yeah, hopefully they'll release gasha versions too, so those who want them can acquire them individually.
