Agreed. Then again, thats the type of stories Didio wants.

Lost Light to the rescue?
Different continuity, different Brainstorm, no Lost Light.

Bendis has talked with Johns about syncing up his run so far with Doomsday Clock.
I don't believe he's ever done such a thing in his life and if he has it's just a nice placating meeting with someone where he immediately does the opposite after it's over.

Harpsikord wrote: View Post

Yeah - that was mainly all speculative due to the state of DC being all over the place. It almost feels like they need to do another reboot. Again.
That's such a crazy fact. The continuity right now is crazier and harder to line up than when Crisis was first announced decades ago. At least then you had the "imaginary" story concept to explain away inconsistencies. They've never actually had such a hard continuity problem with their contemporary stuff as they are doing now. Not matching what came before, sure, but not even being sure if things are happening at the same time or if they will even be counted as the same Earth by the next story? It's crazy.

I kind of expect it to be setting up how Norrin gets to be the Black Surfer in Cosmic Ghost Rider's future given how much love they're tossing Cosmic Frank right now.

DC are now promoting Year One as a "definitive" origin story, so that means they want something by Miller to replicate what the iconic Batman Year One did for the writer and character (even if Zero Year is the current "definitive origin" for Bats), and this might be the new backstory for Clark post-Doomsday Clock
Secret Origin by Johns should be the definitive origin for the modern Superman. It was a damn good book. I know they've effectively undone every single set up and origin in there, but, you know, still good. Even out of canon it'll be better than letting Miller have a go.

....Is Zack Snyder secretly piloting Didio like it was Being John Malkovich?

Synergy, DC plan o on giving Aquaman Jason Momoah's tatoos!.
That's silly considering the movie went ahead and got him the classic orange suit look to get away from the tattoos.

Considering its Didio, Snyder conspiring with him isn't required.

So it's looking like the big AquaMan wedding in issue 50 will be between Mera and the suitor she's been forced to choose in Arthur's absence. Since it's implied he discovers the truth behind his amnesia that month, Maybe they'll be a twist and Arthur finally manages to marry her at the end of the issue?

Ha, nah, it's DC, they're not about letting their couples be happy, Mera will totally marry the suitor for the dramatic lulz and shackled in a loveless marriage while Arthur has to settle for a role as her court bodyguard or something that's so close, and yet so far, until Mera's suitor pretty much tires of the triangle and persuades her to stand aside and let him rule Atlantis so she can be with him. I can write this stuff on a napkin and see it all coming from space.

I concur and it was responsible for restoring Clark's past as Superboy in the main continuity.

Don't forget the part where Arthur has to stand guard outside the honeymoon suite and listen to the suitor hatefuck Mera into a bruised, crying heap. DC Comics: Where all your hopes and dreams go to be tortured to death!

Because joy just isn't hardcore and edgy enough for anyone anymore, apparently.

Yep, heroes have to miserable, lonely and the concept of the superhero has to suck. Because of comic that came out 30+ years ago.

I'm a John Romita Jr. apologist, so I'm down for S:YO, even if I have to sit through Miller's writing.

LET ME HAVE MY HAPPY THOUGHTS!

Seriously, though, I want new Brainstorm to live.

Also, Lost Light did end with a copy of the Lost Light crew and other characters free to explore a new universe. Like this new one.

Spidey Daily Strip: Seems like Roy's holding nothing back on his way out as strip writer, he just had Peter call Jameson Satan when Jonah asked him to stay in New York to take photos of Spider-Man rather than go to Australia with MJ

Naomi#6 is a "season finale", the title will return
