Was never too excited about Clerks 3, since 2 pretty much ended their story in a good place. Mallrats 2/Mallbrats was the more intriguing especially when I started to hear how many cast members were willing to return. I got all excited for maybe Chasing Amy 2, then Dogma 2 and the eventual Jay & Silent Bob 2.

Now this news on J&SB Reboot... hoping that Jay can reunite with Justice finally. And why wouldn't the characters want more likeness rights money after 16 years of spending?

FUCK YES

Love these two characters, and even the story is completely plausible. My body is ready to knock some cock.

I'm excited, but still cautious.

I hope it's better than the god awful "Jay and Silent Bob's Groovy Cartoon Movie"

It was just so bad...

Kevin Smith discusses this greater in depth in today's Smodcast.

Man, I had no idea we were *this* close to a Clerks 3. Smith explained that the script was finalised and approved by The Weinsteins, had budget of $8 million, and were scouting locations in Philadelphia. And it was at THAT point that "someone" dropped out. I have to imagine it was Jeff Anderson.

He also went into further depth on Mallrats 2. He originally wanted to make a direct sequel on his own, before being told Universal own that property, and have never ever given up the rights to a movie. He approached Universal about doing it through them, and they weren't interested in such a small movie, but directed him to their TV department. After pitching the show to several different networks (including Netflix and Amazon) they got no takers. So he'd love to do a movie sequel but isn't allowed to, and would make a tv show but has no distribution.

While I'm sad we're getting no Clerks 3 this makes up for it.

Jay and Silent Bob Reboot

Director Kevin Msith has announced a new movie featuring America's favorite drug dealers from New Jersey will start shooting this fall. And it's rot really a reboot, as much as it is a sequel to Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back, the reboot comes in part of the plot.

You just have to read between the lines: Its a Kevin Smith film. Which means a montage of half-baked ideas strung together for his own based amusement and no one else.

Kevin Smith is just as dangerous as Marlon Wayans, but fatter. Using his films to troll the critics who justifiably call him out on his bullshit.

You can expect to see Star Wars references, a tired Justin Long cameo and a bag full of dick and fart jokes.

Kevin Smith is a big inspiration to me, and I love the man, especially with what he stands for in today's market. Looking forward to this.

I never understood why Jay said that. Jay only cares about one person: himself; and whether he gets off or not. Never mind someone else including hetero life mates.

No he cares about others, he just has a tendancy to get in his own way. Any chance of a return of Justice?
