Well forgive me for not getting my hopes up about that. Easier that way. However, I hope I'm wrong. Would be a nice plug to fill the hole between The Ark and The Gunfighters.

Rumours have been afloat for ages on Gallifrey Base about Hartnell episodes being recovered. They're also saying the same about The Crusade and Galaxy 4. I wouldn't get too excited.

As much as I'[m not a fan of Moffat's in-jokiness, "too smart to watch tv"? what?

I suppose though, to someone who reads or writes the daily mail, anyone smart enough to string a sentence together probably seems like an intellectual to them.
Shoot, it's not like his in jokes dominate the story......outside of stuff involving regeneratiins, if we squint really, REALLY hard and assume using the show's, you know, PLOT for new ideas is somehow an injoke. And it's not like they don't explain it, with the Doctor explaining to Clara to explain to us why "11" was the last refer regenartion until a new set, Yada yada.

Otherwise most of the in jokes are one and done quick stuff as jokes in a scene in dialogue, cure the other 99% of the episode.

And the lack of a series last year was due to BBC "protecting" a DW from the big bad Olympics ratings like last time during 11's run.....which was also BS, just run the show AFTER the games are over, but this time it might actually work in the writer's favors because while 11's sties were on fumes even after the break, 12 is where Moffat got his Mojo back, and now that he nows this is his last series, again, but anyway he's probably planning accordingly.

The Mail are deluded. of course the ratings will be lower than they used to be - because there are more channels to choose from nowadays as well as other options like online streaming! They need to take audience share into account, and placement in comparison to other shows, not just the number of viewers, which is down across the board. People haven't missed Doctor Who? Utter nonsense. The Return of Doctor Mysterio actually got more viewers than series 9 did, which proves that the timeslot and not the show itself was the problem. I look forward to seeing them get egg on their face when the show comes back.

As for those missing episodes, as always with these things you have to take it with a pinch of salt until the BBC officially confirms it. But if they have found some, fantastic!

That's not particularly surprising. That's when you'd realistically expect it to start filming.

Yeah, series 10 should have aired by then.

It's been a while since we heard from former producer Caroline Skinner (notoriously "erased" from Doctor Who by Moffat), but she's landed back on her feet with an adapatation of Neil Gaiman and the late Terrry Pratcheet's "Good Omens"

I'd never heard about Caroline Skinner being 'erased' from Doctor Who, that was a fun google session. It just adds to my thoughts that Moffatt isn't a great production leader and should just be left to write the scripts.

If you thought that was bad, just look up Gareth Robert's meltdowns on Twitter. He's made more than a few allusions to being thoroughly pissed off with how Moffat has run the show, and he seems to have gone off the deep end

Moffat needs his wife Sue to rein him in I think, hence why Sherlock is more tightly-run a ship

So, did anyone catch the Doctor Who Magazine Comic Strip?

Capaldi vs Delgado

Gee, the curreent arc sees him stuck in the 70s, who else is he gonna bump into?

Well, makes sense they'd do that considering that'll be the finale for the Collins family. By the time that story ends (it'll at least be a three parter), series 10 will be on air, so the Doctor will be off in his TARDIS, and Bill will be with him in the next issue. I just hope the artist makes Bill look different enough to Jess - won't be easy, when both characters are black girls with afros.

If it's who I think he'll bump into, then heck freaking yes. That spoiler really is already exciting, but if it'll really go...THERE, then awesome.

DC sued an ice cream shop for having a logo that's shaped like Superman's shield. Personally I think it looks more like the Ghost's G.

Speaking of the Ghost, his eight part digital comic will be printed as four print issues starting in April:

The manufacturers of the Doctor Who 5-inch action figure line have been acquired by Funko Toys. Should be interesting...my only issue is that I'll have to get all thirteen Doctors again if they move the line into a six-inch scale
