Board James got bored with the usual stuff, so he decided to do one for the girls.

Board James: Dream Phone

This one was a lot of fun. It showed off James' love of horror movies, had nice nods to the 'Mr Bucket' episode and as more than just watching a couple of guys play a board game, which the earlier videos were like.

I liked the Dream Phone episode. It was different but still related to nostalgia and b-grade horror films. At the end I was hoping it was Pat the Nes punk on the phone. I wonder what form Bootsy will take in future episodes? Perhaps he will return as a ghost. I liked how not every episode of Board James is skit based.

I hope to see more Video Store episodes in the future as well.

I`m amazed that Chris Bores hasn`t done board game review episodes yet, since that douchebag likes to rip off everything James Rolfe does.

Honestly I was half expecting the Irate Gamer to be on the other end. Hey this was posted on April Fools Day.

I'm pretty sure the ending is an homage to one horror movie or another. But just on cinematography alone with all the creative shots and whatnot I really like this. Some don't because of the Mr Bucket rehash, but it's still creative.

Never seen a Board James video before this. Surprisingly effective as a horror piece.

You should also check out the Mr Bucket Board James vid.

Dream Phone works out much better as a horror piece. Mr Bucket is also interspersed with a lot of ballsy jokes. Plus just the fact that its Mr Bucket. The Dream Phone episode took the creepiness of that and upped it like crazy. Would've been perfect for Halloween.

Am I the only one who got an awkward feeling just from the idea that Lloyd Kaufman agreed to be a part of that? Not that I mind I mean that says a lot about James when he can get the creator of the Toxic Avenger on his video game web show, but even so I would imagine James would want him around when discussing the movies. So it just feels weird watching them both on the couch playing a game you know? I mean it's like if he had gotten George Lucas as a guest star for his star wars tribute episode. It would just feel like George Lucas doesn't really belong here.

Lloyd Kaufman almost seemed defensive about what James was saying about the Games...

I mean come on old man The Toxic Avenger is an 80s cult movie that is past it's time and is very hokey.
James should have cut some of Lloyds lines from the episode when he was editing as it was becoming a little annoying after the first 2 minutes.

Overall I was very pleased to see him cover these games as I was a fan of 1st film and the Toys when I was a kid. Though I wish he would have talked a little more about the film series that lead to the short lived cartoon show from which these games were spawned.

While I do agree Lloyd Kaufman's shtick was dragging at the end, and the ending triggered my gag reflex (oddly enough not the shit gag, but the puking), I found this episode hilarious. It was nice to see James have fun and made the best episode since he started his hiatus he's mostly been on since starting his movie. Any news when it's supposed to become available by the way? I've heard nothing about it since the trailer was released.

All I felt about the end scene was... Man James is really gonna have to get that carpet cleaned.

I mean really they couldn't have done that on a hard floor? That chocolate pudding and avacado ain't gonna come out that easily.

He is still filming some scenes for it. I would say he will be ready to release it around this time next year.
